Real fans know it takes a lot of skill, endurance, athleticism and speed to press non stop and making defenders make mistakes. Especially vs teams who have decent CB's who can pass from the back.
@@tennischallenge6402 Not all wingers need to score goals to be starters. As long as he is putting a positive difference like helping his teammates at the back by constantly pressing to beating his defenders 1v1 and creating chance for his teammates and for himself then he is doing good. Scoring would be a plus but this season Arsenal have relied again on the defense to cary the team.
Timber is different class man, to think that he had to come against both Johnson and odobert who are both blessed with pace and still came out of it unscathed, not reckless in the challenges but just backed off a bit to give himself the best angles of defense, different level for sure ❤
A wounded Arsenal fought for that win. Many said Arsenal are done their season is over with the amount of injuries already. But they fought hard and with heart they found a way to win. Great game and a big morale boost for this weekends game against mancity
I love Saka and consider him a great player, but not our best player. Arteta has channeled the spirit of George Graham and our best players on are defense. Saliba, Gabriel and Raya.
Thanks again for an intelligent and sensible review of the current team and the achievement on Sunday. Watching the match myself (and I don't want to be negative) but I do think against the better sides Partey does tend to look overmatched. And I am just wondering whether if Timber continues to perform well on the left, that Calafiori might be a good idea in the defensive midfielder role in front of Gabriel and Saliba...? If he as people have said great on the ball, I can't see him not doing well in that role, what with his pace and stature he would increase the defensive strength immensely in my opinion Especially Ariel winning that long ball up top that may be Saliba or Gabriel can't get too. He would obviously be more of a sitting defending midfielder but I don't see why it wouldn't suit him...Thoughts?
As well as this it would then potentially allow Timber and White to get up the pitch more as Calafiori could drop back into the centre of the middle two to leave a seriously solid back three against any potential counter attack?
Timber was my man of the match..its time we consider a direct replacement for martinelli rather than a backup, Arteta needs to be as ruthless as pep in finding the next better man before the lack of production in that position hurts us.
We already do😂😂.I think Arteta played him because we always play for counter attacks against spurs.Hes got good defensive workrate and speed for attack.Grewt Arteta decisiok
I keep saying This...There No Harm To Have On GA More Assist than Goals,,,For An Assist to Count a Goal must be Scored..So don't Underate Assist Starts 👏@gabriel.martinelli
