I think it took him leaving Arsenal for the fans to realise just how connected to them he really was. With Emery, they just have an average coach, a journeyman, but with Arsene they had a man who truly lived and breathed the club and deeply cared about that connection from the heart. It is big factor that is so often underestimated in football.
Seriously, watching this honesty on display and the openness of Wenger to the questions which pulled no punches was heartwarming to the extreme. It brought a tear to my eye. Thank you, Arsene. THANK YOU! There is only ONE Arsene Wenger. P.S. Q: When you get to heaven, what will you ask God? AW: Where are the referees? LOLOL!!!
Love this conversation! You can tell that before the interview had started, both Keys & Gray are in awe of Arsene Wenger being with them that day...just look at their faces at 19 secs lol. Plus, you don't hear Gray or Keys talk much for a change, just hear them ask a few questions and literally just sit there and listen to the man talk with such engagement in conversation. Was quite clearly a pleasure for them both :)
@@Adams420 mate I wanted change aswell but let's be fair I'm sure wenger would be getting more out of this squad. The guy is a legend and was mistreated at the end regardless of him being passed it. He gave up his life for this club. The least fans can do is share their opinion respectfully. Any idiot can shout! It's a shame how things work out but listen to his post arsenal managerial interviews. Class act that still loves this club.
Gary Thomas yeaa he was really freakin’ honest along his hitman mate gazidis last decade. We were sinking at the table, losing our best players and his paycheck were increasing with every new contract. Fans were paying most expensive ticket prices in europe and he did nothing. If is someone intelligent it doesnt automatically mean that he’s honest and arsene wenger was not honest. I wish him best, but he was really ungrateful to the fans and after 2012 fans became rightfully angry towards him.
Do you know what makes Arsene so different to most other managers...? Intelligence, humility, integrity and respect for others. The man is not only a legend and a genius, but also a complete gentleman, and illuminating whenever he speaks about the game. FIFAs gain, Arsenal’s loss. Where’s his statue, Stan?
Good interview. Richard Keys and Andy Gray ask some good questions and allow Arsene time to answer them without interuption. Really enjoyed this! Arsene as usual is top class!
Richard Keys -thanks for a beautiful and thoughtful interaction where i learnt how a great personality Arsene Wenger was and how fown to earth he still is
I try to really support arsenal in all years but after the young men came no thanks they shout scream bad things ok. I just love to watch a match not anymore.
