I am so proud and honored to have been a part of this project. It turned out amazing.

Got to see Everclear in concert a few weeks ago. Art and the band stayed after to shake hands and sign autographs. Seemed like a cool guy. Glad he’s still rocking after all these years.

I'm 34 and have had MS since 2014. The 'so much for the afterglow' album was one of my favourites growing up. It's nice to have you on the team we never wanted to be on but one in which we can still find beauty. ;) And for creating a song that I can relate to so much - thank you.

Dear Art, your words & music have helped me through some of the darkest times of my life. Times when I thought I might never see the light again. I drudged through the darkness, knowing that I wasn’t alone. Knowing that one day, I would wake up in the morning & things would start to feel better. Hey great tune...I am 64 and was diagnosed with MS in 2006! Unlike Art, I am just an amateur home musician, but my diagnosis inspired me to want to create a ‘CD’ of music. I built a little home studio and have written and recorded 12 songs; unlike Art I can’t sing so mine are mostly instrumentals. Music a fantastic way to express how you feel...and tell a story

I’m a breast cancer survivor (and a musician) and it’s amazing how the hardest experiences inform our music, and in turn, help others feel less alone. This is a beautiful song! My mom was diagnosed in 2021. It’s a struggle but my mom is strong. Even though I can see it takes a toll. She’s still working even though she is in pain a lot of the time. She is currently having a flare-up and is being admitted to hospital tomorrow again. My dad has cancer, diagnosed in November 2019, just before covid. He lost his job due to covid too. My mom had to get a new job too and she is looking after my dad and I. What a wonderful woman! My dad is a wonderful man too! Working his butt off to keep the house clean, make food, etc. to support us. Even though he is undergoing chemotherapy. Because of this song, I am going to get tested for MS too. I know it’s not genetic but I took an unusually hot bath (because I enjoy hot baths) and felt horrible after it. I also have A LOT of other MS symptoms and my mom wanted me to get tested in anyway. This song just convinced me. I didn’t know about the hot bath test. I accidentally did it.

Gastroparesis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Autonomic Dysfunction- this song hit hard when I first heard it on 5/22/21. This isn't the person I had wanted to be nor who I wanted the word to see. No treatments or cures for Autonomic illnesses is devastating. I'm told to live with my pain and symptoms. Sometimes, just hard to live. Other times, too hard to give up and you fight. Thanks for the song.

Diagnosed in February 2020 after 10+ years of positive ANA results and shoulder shrugs to so many disabling symptoms. Hot tubs used to be so terrifying and I never knew why... I would simply say "they make me sick" and people assumed I was a germaphobe. I appreciate this song. My husband called me "no fun" and left to enjoy himself after my diagnosis. My only family, my children, left to pick up the pieces. I survive for them.

This song is so emotional Art. I have been a part of the Responding to MS Through Song project at the University of Lethbridge this year, and I was introduced to you and this song through it. I was diagnosed in 2007 when I was 30 years old and this song hits so hard. I am happy to say that although there have been struggles, my life has indeed been beautiful since my diagnosis. I have a wonderful supportive family and have met an amazing community of friends and musicians also living with MS. I lost my best childhood friend to MS. It was horrible. He was a vegetable. I have many dreams about since where I'd visit him a hi-tech facility in some future life where he was healthy again. It's heavy stuff. I wish all with the disease the best.
