ART BASEL 2024 IN BASEL 4K + FEATURE SECTION
✨ Welcome to Art Basel 2024! 🌟 Join us as we dive into the vibrant world of contemporary art at this year's most anticipated event. The 2024 edition of Art Basel in Basel features 285 of the world’s leading galleries, showcasing the highest quality of works across all media, including painting, sculpture, photography, and digital artworks. 22 first-time participants join a robust lineup of European exhibitors and returning galleries from around the globe.
In addition to remarkable presentations in its Galleries, Feature, Statements, and Edition sectors, around 70 large-scale installations and performances are on view in the show’s Unlimited sector, while the Kabinett sector returns for the second time to Art Basel’s Swiss edition to spotlight distinct, curated exhibitions within the main booths of exhibitors.
Beyond these core sectors, Art Basel’s ‘Feature’ section dedicates space to 20th-century artists and welcoms eleven inaugural participants. It presents sixteen art-historical presentations, among them a “condensed” retrospective of the artist Jean Tinguely by Basel’s Galerie Mueller, a first-time participant. Shanghai’s Bank will showcase the partnership between Maryn Varbanov and Song Huai-Kuei (aka Madame Song), while Dakar’s OH Gallery will present work by modern Senegalese artist Viyé Diba.
