Thanks for talking to the camera and then the thumbnail when your showing your supplies. I have a hard time with showing the supplies and hands flipping around. Has gotten to be a big pet peeve. Great video! New subscriber
@Dorothy Minor Thank you , I know I've done it both ways but I feel a disconnect if I'm talking about something but not showing anything. So I wanted to do it this way to feel and hope my viewers feel more connected. Like we are having a conversation with each other.
The very best alcohol ink sketchbook I've seen so far is RENDR Crescent sketchbook. Any medium including ink markers will NOT bleed through. I really like mine. Thank you for this video!
@Feral Shojo that's good to know. The Himi are the jelly gouache yes? I've seen those as well, I will have to look into getting those. I appreciate your suggestions.
I just found your channel, I feel like you were in my head. I just got my holbein gouache, Kingart brushes and a Transon air tight palette with collapsable attached watercup. So💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙and the palette has a shoulder strap. I got a Legion mini black WC pad. I too decided to branch out from watercolor. I threw out my Canson XL pads because the paint simply doesn't work well on it. So it was setting me up for failure. My square sketchbook is coming next week. I guess 2023 is the year of gouache! @@AlisaLaporteArt i love to paint on canson xl i got the 6 pack of them i have 2 small paul rubens fancy paper but i paint every day so havent got the arches yet
@@ginabadeaux9319 Nice! I have used the Canson XL mostly for cards, we use it to make Valentine's cards for my girls class. We are working on some right now!! 🥰 The nice thing about Arches is you can use both sides of the paper, I buy mine in bulk through Blick, I buy a large sheet and cut it down into 16 5x7 sheets and use both sides! Either way it's good to paint!!
Thank you for sharing your new supplies unboxing. I'm new to art and it is very interesting to see all the different mediums. I just recently got a small set of watercolor paints and watercolor pencils to try. I'm also trying to learn to sketch and draw.

i want that box set but 335.00 is way to pricey i cant wait to see what you make with them i have the 12 set and rarely use them ,only because i have so many paints .i love my mission gold and art whales i got many boxes of tubes the value is awsome,on amazon
Oh I agree, that's why I ended up buying it before I did the dot card. It was on sale around 50% off. I had been looking at them for a while and couldn't pay that much so I waited for a sale. Mission Gold is another one I have yet to try, but would love to. ❤️
nice supplies! I usually use cheap stuff so I can't give advice there. um I usually watch animal paintings but never seen a person one so maybe you could do that with the guoache?
