Thank you very much for making these lectures available online! They add so much to my appreciation of Botticelli and my current attempt to know more about the Italian Renaissance art scene. (Also very much admire the good humor of your responses to the negative comments below! Though why people take the time to gratuitously insult something graciously provided for free is beyond me...)

What an entertaining and interesting lecture. We watched it prior to going to visit the Galleria dell'Academia and enjoyed viewing the David even more. Thanks!

It would add so much depth to your lectures if they focused on the artwork itself (with the lecturer depicted to one side as a small side or 'cameo' image). The current format--a washed-out slide photograph of the art being discussed, and several rows of the backs of onlookers' heads---detracts from what is being said about the artwork. (Love your humour, btw!)

So much more could have been added. Apparently entry level lecturer.

Dear Jonas Gallery and Sarah Jones, Thank you so much for creating and uploading this. Very interesting with good context explanation! I also love the infectious enthusiasm of the lecturer!! Only one little thing: Sometimes I would like to take a closer look at the patinings and photographs which you show in good quality without always googeling it :) so maybe you could blend it in a little bit longer in future videos.

Thank you! Yes, I think we do a better job of that in our more recent videos. This was a live lecture from a while ago.

45:40 at this point I don't know if she is really mesmerized by Botticelli's style or if she loathes it that much that she really had nothing to say.

I really appreciate the presentation and effort and I’m sure the presenter has a long road ahead of her to deal with this tipe of format. Some positive feedback : -reduce stating obvious impressions that everybody would say and say at least 3 important aspects of one specific subject. - as much as I value the enthusiasm try to make the presentation controlled in planning - years and timelines are always good to start so you don’t digress - never discourage other places for people to visit - there’s a fine line between being friendly likable and imposing intellectual superiority. People want to listen about valuable information from a legitimate professor/historian not my best friend who went to visit florence in the summer. All the best and further successes!

Four minutes! Ella, you missed the best part. At 4:01, my pet lizard Ambrose and I start demonstrating period dance rituals. But you are so right. It shouldn't be called a lecture. It's more of a performance piece. I'm going to amend the title to SARAH AND AMBROSE'S RENAISSANCE DANCEATHON.

@@MT-2020 I strived to listen to her a bit longer, waiting if she stops waving her arms about and gets on with the lecture in a fluent manner. Nothing against humour but she tries to be funny to the point of saying stupid things like when comparing tempera and oil techniques with an explanation that "oil paint will stay good in the tube or on your palette for a while, it won't rot ..." - as if the renaissance painters had oil paint in the tubes at their disposal. A very unprofessional lecturer, sadly.

Thomas, I took a poll and every single respondent said I was very bearable. When I asked them about you though, ah. It wasn't so good. Everyone ticked the box marked 'loathsome and annoying'. I'm really sorry. I hope this doesn't ruin your day.
