I really loved the page of the arched workshop, beautiful 😊. My favourite colour is olive earth from the Derwent drawing pencils. The set is wonderfully muted.
Thanks so much Jennifer, it is a great trip still! Next time I’ll be showing the lavender part!!! I’d love to hear from you again. Greetings from France.
I missed you! Happy to see you in this next sequal of your trip. Lovely to see how everything earns a spot in your lovely journal! And my favorite colour; that's a question which is too difficult to answer. I'm not faithful to a single color, but right on this moment it is Grey Blue of Amsterdam. Enjoy your trip, hope to see you soon! 😘
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your favourite colour. I love that one too, did you know there’s a light version too? I’ll show it when I’m home (and that’s not that long away anymore). Have a great evening!
Another smashing guided tour! For your question, will everyone say “I can’t pick just one color as a favorite!” I might say Golden’s quinacridone gold or quinacridone green. But if you haven’t tried Kuretaki painted thickly, with their Art Nouveau set….ahhhh, it is glorious! So now I’ll go paint something with those for my “Luz” journal.
Wow so great to hear from you! I will check out the colors you mentioned. Would love to see your ‘Luz journal’. Maybe we could show it on this channel one day, if you’d like that too of course. Good luck with your pages! 🙏🏼
Love your journals. Also seeing all the interesting places you visit. Your song is very nice. Of course if you love a place you should go there again. As far as colors, that is a hard question. It depends on what I'm doing, but I really love aqua and burnt orange. I like all kinds of mediums, but I really like soft pastels. Right now I'm using Charvin water soluble. I also like to blend pastels with baby oil. God bless P.S. I sure hope I can find some of that mesh you used for the mermaid tail. What is it from? Pretty cool.
Hi there, thanks for your kind words and your loooong answer! It would be great to experiment and play with pastels and baby oil, so creative! I love burnt Sienna very much, the acrylic paint from Winsor and Newton. Have fun creating!
Oh I would love for you to share my journal! And I would love to meet you, even if only via the internet. I visited Den Haag years ago and am partial to the Dutch! I’m keen on following my various European heritages. I made a little painting with the Kuretaki today and it’s in the journal. I tried the same paint on the gesso’d page and it’s really cool.
That would be awesome! Maybe you could consider joining my online class ‘An Introduction to Art Journaling’, there’s a lovely online community who share their results often. Nice you’ve been in the Netherlands! I’m looking forward to see your creations.
