I've learned more about art journaling with collating from you than I have other videos. Some tend to be a little teachy and a little preachy! You know what I'm talking about! LOL Keep doing what you're doing and I always love the most recent as well as the older videos because we can see what YOU'VE learned and hand down to us...
Wow one of my favorite backgrounds you’ve done. I’ve been in a funk where I keep skipping making backgrounds and just do collage on white pages and it feels so unfinished. This sparked inspiration for me, thank you!
I really love this video!! It shows so much depth with all of the layers that you put. It's just amazing how your page turned out!! Thank you for sharing 👍
Honestly, Niamh,I really have had a blast working in my large Dylusions journal, after watching so many of your videos, creating beautiful and fun spreads. I can’t believe, I was afraid of jumping into the “deep end,” by working in this journal. Thanks, Niamh, so very very much. Have a fun weekend.
i have found this so useful Niamh! I now start all my art pages in my large art journal this way and it has made life so much less stressful for me and of course, the last thing we want when creating is stress thank you so much
Amazing depth through all those layers Niamh ! Looks great ! Thank you once again , for a fantastic and informative video . Kind regards - Judi - Victoria
So I really loved the final product but I had a really hard time trying to follow your 10 rules or steps. Perhaps you could provide a printable download.
If you are interested in finding out more - go to my facebook page (Niamh's Art Journal - facebook.com/niamhbaly/) and check out the photos from Dec 3rd 2019 to get the full detailed list for you to print out :)
I would love to see how you make your own tissue paper with print on tissue paper especially what ink you use so it does not run when the gel is applied on top
I have a video on that here, but most of my stamping is always with archival ink as it is permanent and doesn’t smear. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SEXoKlhvig4.html
I have watched your channel for a while now and just realised I am not sure what texture paste you use. I love the gold one and it’s so vibrant - what brand did you get - I’m moving state soon to NSW from QLD so want to get my supplies in and stocked up before I don’t have my local shops 😁 thanks for your hard work with the videos.
Lucy M the one I use in this is a gold from creative expressions- an English company, but the gold from the crafters workshop is a near match and probably easier it source. Finnabairproducts also have a few different golds in their texture pastes which are quite good as well x good luck with your move!
Joyce McCullough thank you. I don’t have exactly like this in a Christmas theme, but it could certainly be adapted that way with the papers, colours and stencils you use. I have two Christmas art journal pages ready to pop up on my channel on the 7th and 10th if this month so stay tuned for that x
What kind of paint are you using? I did not find a list of supplies so I just am unsure. I have very little paint so I need to make a purchase and am not sure what to get. It is great to get some more sonderful ideas for art journaling. I love this piece.
Donna Conaway I use acrylic paint- the brand I tend to use is Dina wakley heavy body from ranger ink, but most work well. You want something that gives you good coverage (not like the paint at schools- student grade). You can buy her paint from most craft/scrapbooking stores and online from anyone who stocks ranger products
Hi, Niamh! This was the first time I watched one of your videos. I was very surprised that you responded and in such length. Thanks! I had not thought about the importance of not using student grade acrylics.
Decemberrose66 it’s called a stabillo all pencil in back. It is a water soluble waxy pencil. I get mine from amazon or our large office supplies shop in Australia stocks them as well.
This is what I got: Background paint, collage, stencils, deliberate color, stamps, deliberate color, focal image, words, Mark making, quote, Washi tape....
Jan S good job- that’s pretty much it:) if you click on my Facebook page link in the description box to Niamh’s art journal, you will see my post yesterday with the steps all outlined for you in more detail:)
