In a building that once sold alcohol in a small village notorious for fueling alcoholism on the nearby Pine Ridge Reservation, the new Whiteclay Makerspace is now providing jobs and resources for Oglala Lakota artists.

Now talk about how it didn’t stop any of the alcoholism but now the people drive drunk further away and die more frequently in car wrecks.
