Oh Sandi, I'm so sorry to hear about Cooper. He was such a wonderful part of your channel and you couldn't help but love him and enjoy seeing him with you in the studio. He was so special. The grief of losing a beloved dog is indelible and indescribable. The closeness to our day to day lives- they are the very fiber of the family fabric. And the blessing and weight of gifting them with final peace is immeasurable. The days and months following are tremendously painful- as we start to feel their absence in all of our spaces. But Cooper has known pure love and kindness and care in both his life and the letting go and I know he is overflowing with gratitude in that. Sending you love and hope for comfort and peace. I wish there were words to express how sorry everyone is about Cooper’s passing. There is no truer love as that which our furry family gives us. I am so touched by your sharing of such a moment of grief and loss. I think that Cooper would want you to share all the happy memories and that instead of “farewell “, there’s a “I’ll see you again someday “.

I started crying as soon as I seen the YT thumbnail …I cried all the way through and will have to go back and watch the sketches part again! Our pets never leave us. I share your loss. Tears right now.....when I saw the title of this video a few days ago I knew and had to put off watching until I could handle it. What a loving, moving tribute to Cooper. We've had a sucession of pet losses and the most recent was our beloved guinea pig named Peanut who lived over 8 yrs! We too bury everyone in our yard and have a ceremony with the kids. We all still hear Peanut at various times make his noises in the house so I know somewhere he's still feisty and loving us. Now we have a 5 yo rescue dog named Maggie that is the most loveable lump. I'm really thinking of doing a painting series on her since she's half hound and is a glorious layabout. TY for sharing and being vulnerable. Cooper had an awesome, incredible family and was such a happy boy! Thinking about you all ❤

Sandi and Grady, my heart is breaking for you guys! As soon as I heard Sandi say I have bad news I started crying. My Black Lab had the same thing happen to him. It looked like a seizure and a stroke combined. He was like Bambi on ice. Legs out in every direction. It's been 5.5 yrs and it does get easier but give yourself time to grieve. Please don't try to make a Cooper video just yet? I started a portrait of Jaxsen right after I had to put him down and I had to stop. PS- I gave Jaxsen chocolate. I will miss your sweet Cooper's tippity tap of his nails and snorts.

I can't stop crying ... he was so damn sweet. I will miss hearing the "ruckus" he made walking around the studio. I cherish the presence of my dog in my art space, and have lost several senior dogs over the years. I miss them ... as you will miss Cooper -- we all will. Thanks Coop for all the joy you bought to each video that you had a starring role. Will miss you old fella, your sweet face and the sound your claws made on the floor each time you ambled in to the studio to bless us with your presence. I’m 5 days late to watch this vid. I’m so sorry you lost your precious Cooper! I know what it’s like as so many others here do too. Our fur babies take a piece of our hearts when they go “over the rainbow bridge.” Just like we believe we’ll see our human loved ones who have passed “one day,” I believe we’ll see our fur babies too. I’ve just seen this particular video as I’ve been away. My heart is with you all and I truly wish you find peace with the beautiful memories you’ve made together. I couldn’t watch videos of our old girl for weeks but suddenly I found them a comfort. Cooper made you light up when you spoke of him, what joy. Dear Sandi, Thinking of you and Grady at this really sad time. What feasty fun you all had in the end, he'll be dreaming about that for eternity. I feel your pain, we lost our pug of 14 years just over a year ago and like you she followed me around everywhere. The void is always there but in time the pain is replaced with the joy of the memories you had together. I’m so sorry for your loss of Cooper. I felt such a kindredness to you and Cooper when I started to watch your channel. I had a bearded collie that was cut down so I looked so similar too Cooper but grey and white. They were the same age also. Such terrible heartache. You are so brave for sharing that. When our family dog was nearing the end of his life he went off his normal food. My dad was a chef and had a supply of stuffed trout in the freezer left over from a function. It was the only thing Sam would eat! What a way to go! Sending love to you all. As soon as I saw the title of this video I though, "Oh no, I bet it's Cooper.". I have an older dog who is always clickety-clacking around after me wherever I go. I hate to think about when she'll be gone, so I am really sorry for your loss. But I've always loved to see the care and love that you gave to Cooper, and I'm glad you all had a good life together. That's all we can do, right? Love on them when they're here, and then carry happy memories after.

Sandi, for months when watching our granddaughter weekly, I would put your videos on the TV as background to our day. Your calm sweet voice and the color and creativity that flow from you make a lovely atmosphere. One of our favorites as I would get her tucked in on the couch for her nap was watching for glimpses of Cooper on the screen. It became a little part of our routine. May you be comforted as you miss him, and blessed as you enjoy the memories of his life. I am confident that he will be waiting for you at the great reunion ahead. 😪🙏♥️

I had a beautiful dream a few years ago after we lost our old doxie. In the dream, there was a beautiful green field and blue skies and all the dogs we had were happy, running and playing in the fields. Sandi I am sitting here crying over Cooper and your broken heart. I know that void. I had to put down my 14 year old 90 lb Golden retriever recently. It seems like the bigger the dog the bigger the void in the house. I still think of him and miss him months later, so I am crying for you AND for me. I watched your most recent coffee shop video first, and when I saw the sketch you did of Cooper at the end, and you said it was meaningful to you, I think I knew then. If it matters, I sit here truly crying as you tell your story of Cooper looking at my Jimmy, who is 15 and he is my shadow. I know that it will come one day too. I pray I can give Jimmy little special treats on his day. I pray I can sit with him a while and process and that he closes his eyes knowing he's that loved. I'll be praying for your heart to process the grief and hopefully do some Coop art one day. Glad you got to tell us all about it and share your heart with us. You needed that too. It is so hard to lose a dear pet. My heart goes out to you and Grady. I just lost my sweet cat at the end of August and through the grief that has passed and the grief that will surely last months more, we have to ask ourselves two things: 1- Did he have a good life? And 2- Did he know he was loved? If we can answer yes to those two questions, then we can take comfort knowing we provided our well loved pet with the best life.

Cooper was such a part of your channel since I started watching it and I loved each time he came into the studio and to see how much you loved him and included him in your vlogs! Loss is never easy. I am so so sorry. But how lucky are you to have had such a wonderful companion. Our Rabbi tells us of a story of holding his grandfathers hand. How he remembers his grandfather’s touch through his own hands. I loss my parents and two beloved cats during COVID. I hold the memory of their touch in my hands…and so will you. You and Grady are in my prayers

We lost our pet a year ago, so I'm sorry for your loss. He was so important in your life. I was homeless when I was younger and people looked at me funny but I'm human just like you. I hope you understand that we need compassion too. I was ill and was being abused where I lived. I'm safe now, and I'm grateful. Take care. Love your videos.

So sorry Sandie and Grady. Copper had a good family. I did that too before I had to take my cat in. Feed her all the people food she loved. Chocolate pudding, butter, sour cream, cheese, yogurt. She loved her dairy. It's hard but it will get better 😘

I'm so sorry about Cooper. Lost my old dog last summer, it leaves such a hole in your heart and home. It's so much easier if you know it's best for your dog to let him go. Even though it stil hard to make this decision it is out of love for your dog. It is so raw now, we are at the point we can talk about the funny and crazy things and enjoy our memories and still miss him.

I don't know if you read older comments and I am new to your channel, but I have been binge watching. I have a pug named Bernie and just lost sleep over his diarrhea, so I cried and cried when I watched this video. I am so, so sorry you lost you sweet and precious "Coop" and I will certainly miss him in the videos. I didn't realize until I watched this older video and you mentioned it later in another one. My sincerest condelences to you and your family and I will pray for you to continue to smile over the good memories you have of him on the harder days. Update: My Bernie got a progressive cancer and I lost him a few weeks ago. So I am right there with you Sandi. I am really feeling your loss all the more now.

4/7/23 Oh, Dear Sandi and Grady: Sam and I are so sorry for your profound loss. I haven’t been able to watch this video until today, because when you posted it it made me so saddened to know that you were going to tell us such painful, heartbreaking news that I just couldn’t bear it at the time. Dear Sandi and Grady, my heart breaks for you at this difficult time. I loved to see what Cooper was up to from snoring to “pitter patter” on the floor. I can imagine the void he leaves behind. You had him for almost 13 years and gave him a lot of love by taking him for walks, boat rides, camping, vet visits, his meds, gave him the most delicious ‘healthy’ food, and I'm sure treats. I am a new subscriber and did not know Cooper, but I know the pain you're going through. Loosing my cat, my best friend, to cancer was the hardest thing. The pain was deep, and it took 7 years to finally be able to adopt again. I am so very sorry for your loss. Cooper was lucky to have you in his life and in his final hours. Big hugs to you!

I feel your pain. I adopted 8 different dogs that were over the age of 6 from Collies to Pugs to Weenie dogs, Jack Russells to Scotties and the last one being a part wolf, named Memphis who just turned 16 at Christmas. They all had the best lives once they came to my home and like Cooper, they all loved being loved most of all. I'm not looking forward to Memphis' call home, but we will make it the best for him. You guys did great! Thanks for sharing such a compassionate time in your life with us. Pets are so easy to love and impossible to forget.

God bless you Sandi and Grady. My heart and tears go out to you both loosing your beloved Cooper. I cried the whole time. I will really miss him too. He was the star of the channel. He was so blessed to have such a wonderful mom and dad loving him each and everyday. He sure did love the camping trips. We will all miss him so dearly. 😪❤ By the way your sketches are beautiful.
