Best wishes to your dad hope he has a smooth recovery. Thanks for sharing your art space while you’re away - it’s always interesting to see what artists like to take with them when away from home.
OMG I FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT RED DESK!!! A RED DESK!!!!! Showed it to my husband, and he QUICKLY said: I ain't buying u a red desk! Sooooooo... I asked him , Could paint mine instead?... Is cheaper. 😅 He said yes. 😂 Poor, poor man!
Haha!! I found the desk at a garage sale, originally white and pale pink with many scuffs. I paid $5 for it, lol. I painted the whole thing with red enamel, which is why it's so bright and shiny. The enamel paint cost more than the desk! 😂
@@BeckyTregear 😆😆😆 Well, because of you, a guy in Puerto Rico, is gonna spend this Saturday (his day off) painting a desk outside. 😅😅😅😅 Now, let's see how much is the paint tomorrow. 😅😅😅😅😅
Hi to your dad Becky. Hope he is well on the way to recovery. As I am entering my senior years I can appreciate just how important it is to stay healthy and active. I recently retired as I have an issue with my foot and need some surgery and it is something I am dreading. Do hope dad is still able to get some artwork done while he convalescing. I am sure you are a true gift to him. Hugs to both of you.
It's always hard when health issues start to cause problems. I can reassure you in that modern anaesthetics are SO much better than they used to be, and recovery afterwards is a lot easier. It's never fun though. 😭
Hope your Dad is getting well recovering..you seem to be able to cope and improvise under stress. You are being a good daughter! Thanks for sharing your TO GO STUDIO…
It has been a struggle, but I'm managing to cope and go with the flow. If I didn't help, he'd have to go into respite care and I didn't want him to be miserable away from home for so long, so it was just easier to come out here for a while. It's better with the cats here too, though last night Gandalf was being a pest at 4am and I was laying in bed sleepily waving around a red dot laser pointer for him to chase, lol!
Hi Becky, I hope your Dad fully recovers. Your little niche in the guest room with art supplies is nice. I am glad you get to be with your Dad. That is important.
Glad to see your dad is home from the hospital and I’m sure he appreciates having you there to help! I think if I was going to be staying somewhere for several weeks and I had a car to bring supplies with me, I’d have done exactly like you and pulled bits of everything! There’s always comfort in having lots of supplies to keep busy as well as having a good variety of whatever might be needed. No point in packing light when you have the room to bring whatever you want 😊.
Clunes looks so familiar, I am sure i have seen it in TV shows. How fun! Enjoy this time with your dad, I hope he recovers well. I would love to see a video on the Albrecht Durer watercolor markers!
It has featured in quite a few shows, a couple recently made were Bloom and Tomorrow When The War Began. I'll have to think of something to draw with the Albrechts. 😊
Thank you! I have considered getting a basic gold hunting licence (which is only $25) but it would involve going into snake infested areas which isn't so appealing, lol!
Becky...thanks for sharing your the makeshift studio and the cute little town of Clunes. When I take art supplies with me, outside of home, traveling or just for whatever reason, I always take way more than I can use. For me, it's like a security thing. But in your case, with an extended stay with your dad and also trying to keep up with your vids, I think you did pretty well. I do hope your dad has a full recovery and will be back to good health as soon as possible. 😊
Thanks for the studio tour. I wish your dad a speedy recovery. I wish I was as tidy as you, I usually have to dig for my art supplies on the massive table that is my studio! Jo in France 🇫🇷
I hope your Dad feels better soon, he has the nicest smile. You're a good daughter to be there. It's nice that you have Gandalf & Trixie with you, they're so cute. Clunes reminds me of home, except bigger. I like your makeshift set up & supplies, it's always fun to see what people take when they go away. Thanks for sharing Becky & I hope you're doing well too.
Glad to see your dad is home from the hospital. I hope he’s recovering well and that you're all doing okay during this time. Also, I’m really happy to see you’ve started posting new videos again! It’s great to have you back.
Glad to hear that your dad is doing well! Speedy recovery to him! Thanks for sharing your mini makeshift studio. I recently injured both my knees and can’t walk much due to that. So I also had a temporary mini studio set up in my bedroom 😂 it keeps getting more and more cluttered as the day goes by. I will certainly will miss it once my knees heals 😢
I had a feeling you, would have a Red Desk xxxx Best wishes to your Dad . glad you are their with him. ... Ahh Janky electronics ! Ahhh ....love your crafty area . happy swatching.
Art heals; hope your Dad will be able to create when possible. Best wishes to him. So glad you are with him - Nick and your cats too. I appreciate your sense of humor 😂 Thanks for the update
That red desk is very aesthetically pleasing! Even though it’s a makeshift art studio, it’s very well-stocked and at least somewhat organized! I think having the desk with drawers is a plus. A lot of small desks don’t have drawers and then that’s a whole problem for us artists😅 I haven’t seen the original Mad Max yet, but I’ve seen the remake😮 again, I hope your dad makes an quick and easy recovery😊 it seems like your cats are enjoying their stay😂
The desk was $5 at a garage sale, and a very scuffed white/light pink. I painted it with thick red enamel paint and it turned out insanely bright but I love it! ❤ The cats are doing well, but Gandalf is being super naughty this morning, knocking over Dad's ornaments and plants!
@@AlexisCassandraArt Yes, I was out here in 2021 when Dad broke his hip (he's had a string of health dramas over the past 4 years!) and I had the desk then too.
That's so funny that Trixie was under the duvet. My calico cat does that sometimes, but the other 3 never go under. Glad to see you have a working space at your dad's house and I hope all goes well with his follow-up appointments. Looking forward to seeing which supplies you get to use while you're there.
Thank you! The operation was successful so the prognosis is good for a full recovery! Moulin du Roy was discontinued a few years ago, but it's still available from Jackson's Art. It is going to take me a long time to work through my hoarded stash of it anyway, lol.
@@BeckyTregearhi I’m in SWFL and cannot get moulin de Roy anymore and I’m heartbroken!!!!! It is my hands down favorite paper. It’s on my wish lists everywhere. 🌺
Ahhhh it's a lot of stuff you brought... I hope it doesn't make you crazy... sometimes I take one item and work with it until I use it up... that's very difficult as things do last a long time... the town looks like a movie set and I wonder what kinds of restos you have there and how far is the next town and supermarket? Hope your dad gets well and have a good time there...!
I brought many items so I have potential to make a few videos if I need to stay longer. Clunes is a great movie set because of its old buildings. The nearest large towns are Ballarat and Maryborough which are about 35kms away in different directions. Half an hour drive. It's not like popping down the road five minutes at home to major grocery shops, lol! 😂
