The shift paint is really pretty..id like to see a video on them..enjoyed video found it interesting and informative..season greetings to all thru out art community.💙🇨🇦🇺🇲🌲🦌☃️💙
I can't wait to see the extreme glitter. My favorite Christmas art supply is surprisingly my fountain pen with fude nib. I really thought I'd prefer the fine nib over the fude, but the fude allows me to do thick or thin lines without changing nibs. I like it better than the fude brush tip pens. My other "art supply" was a remote control for my craft room lights so I don't trip over things walking in the dark from my desk to the hall, after I turn off my desk lamp, ha. I can now walk across the room and then turn off the lights. Yes, I was given the gift of avoiding a broken neck, ha. Happy New Year.
Oh nice one! I may well be buying another Etchr book because the Hahnemuhle one has been so recalcitrant! 😂 I wonder how coloury those watercolours are going to be, lol.
If you like the the shifting colors, there are the rebrant chameleon watercolors. they are amazing for adding sparkly effects, in galaxy/night drawings
Oooh, so many lovely things. Shiny and glittery paints, the pencil set...and that cool Iris drawing tool that reminds me of James Bond intros, lol. We have the Alien World coloring book, too. Fantastic art!
I have Black 3.0 and I didn't use it for a few months and the pigment separated out of the binder quite egregiously and turned into a gloopy glob I had to water down extensively to get it to spread. Not sure if 4.0 will have the same problem, but I'd recommend shaking it up periodically just to be safe. That aside, it's an extremely deep matte black and dries really evenly, it's great in that respect. Just personally had issues with the binder.
Ohhh lucky you! I'm still on a no buy.....but I got a gift certificate to Blicks so am excited to add to my supplies. I've never seen a brass circle tool......It's so cool. Thanks for sharing your haul with us!
Yay for gift certificates!!! I think No Buy would be impossible for me, given that Low Buy was difficult enough to stick to, but I managed it for most of the year at least (not counting Greece in May either, LOL).
Hi Becky beautiful haul u will love the dragonfly glaze and the chromoflow pencils the are beautiful to colour with and paint with I would like to try the unicorn 🦄 milk it looks interesting ❤❤❤😊😊😊xxx
Hi Becky, you have some interesting items. I look forward to seeing you create art with them. And maybe even a paper craft junk journal after you paint the color. The brass iris tool looks really cool.
I had the dragonfly glaze on my wish list and finally caved on black Friday sales and they are super pretty. Be very interested in the extreme glitter ones when you use them 👍
What a fantastic xmas haul!!! I also got some xmas goodies too, some acrylic paints, a mini watercolour sketchbook, some gouache paints and chocolates :D looking forward to seeing all the video's of these products in the new year, hope you have a good one!! :D
Merry Christmas Becky! Wonderful supplies haul . Can’t wait to see what you create with it all ☺️ and I hope you guys had no damage or anything with the storms over there- I saw on the news some places were quite badly affected 😔 💙
Thank you! It rained the entire day but we had no issues; the worst floods were in the eastern part of the state, out of Melbourne. Crazy weather in general.
Lots of creative goodies!!! 2024 will be fun for us :) Nik found a really cool circle tool. I received some Winsor Newton watercolor - it will be a delight to use these.
Oooh new watercolours! I can't wait to use new supplies - tempted to film everything right now but I'm taking a mandatory break so I can be fresh for New Year, LOL!
I'm really curious to see the FolkArt paints in action. They're an inexpensive/accessible brand in the US (at least in my area), so that will be tempting if the results are cool. Merry Christmas!
Alien worlds and the glitter paints caught my eye and the circle maker of course. I've had one of them in my wishlist for months but tubes of watercolor and gouache have been my main priority this year since I'm starting from scratch with art supplies. With the new year comes new priorities though 😃
It definitely takes time to build one's art supply collection, but it's a lot of fun doing so; accumulating new items, having extensive wishlists....it goes on and on, lol!
Becky! You actually did really good. I know it's super tempting to buy things. I have been at it through Amazon US. Christmas items are still arriving this week. 2 items in January for my bday and some other items I need in my life! You were good most of the year. Ohh the folk art paints are from the US. I bought like 3 of them because they were on Clearance for .99 and .49 cent at my local hobby lobby. Always so nice to see a video. Happy Holidays 😊 ❤ Maria
The Folk Art paints cost a bit more to buy from Australia, doh! But I'm glad I have some to try out! Enjoy your new goodies, and I hope you have a Happy New Year, and Happy Birthday!
I bought the 365 days of creativity! I can confirm it does not take too well to wet medias (the paper is too weak), but I still use water-based markers and less-water gouache. It does very well with pens, pencils, crayons, etc dry media. I am interested in some Stuart Semple products, but they're a bit pricy.
Happy times Becky. Well done for snapping up all the good stuff. I do like the paints ohhhh iridescent Glitter wow . I got mega Spoiled my man got me set 2 B Ciao Copics , 48 Caren D Arch Neocolor Aqua Crayons and Loads of DK Books for refences ….. Hope you have a productive and Happy fun wonderful 2024 xxxx “Swatch you Later” xxxxxxxx
I got water colour pencils in my stocking, and winsor and newton designer gouache to(Just the primary set will get other colours many some Holbien gouache to) I tested the gouache yesterday I wanted to upgrade my Daler Rowney set it was artist grade not professional and definitely not lightfast as I need that if I'm going to have a table next year at conventions. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year
I have wanted the Unicorn paint for a long time. I wish they sold through a third party like Amazon. I have added it to the cart a few times, and the postage wasn't worth it, and I didn't really want other things from their site.
