I bought a drawing kit that had everything you needed to draw and more. Very happy with it, it included the blinder naturally. So much easier than buying everything separately. Have since purchased two more to donate at Christmas to children/teens.
Great choices. I have the Etchr and both sizes of Art Tool Kit. Maria’s experience in designing the kit and extensive field sketching is worth every penny.
Really enjoyed this video!!! I took notes but did not readily see a supply list in the pull down menu to make sure I wrote all the manufacturer names and specs correctly . Is there a supply list available ?
Pro tip. The more you take the less you'll do. Tiny watercolor palette, one brush, one watercolor paper journal. That's all you need. Maybe a pencil if you draw an under drawing. The more you have, the less you'll accomplish.
I totally agree. I find that I want to take everything with me, but then I never use the stuff. I'd like to find the courage to simplify this year - it's surprisingly hard.
Good idea, but I don't think hot glue will stick to silicone. Also, the Art Toolkit palette is made out of aluminum, and a magnet won't stick. There's only a magnet sheet under the pans. But a big binder clip with a magnet attached could probably work.
I hear you; but, in actual use the Art Toolkit is superior. I have tried both and the design of the Art Toolkit brand is a much better with the lip design around the mixing palette that keeps the watercolor mixing contained . No spillage on your kit or table. I got rid of this the card holders.
Very well done travel kits, but they seem to be a little overkill. Do you really need all those brushes? The board holder seemed a little cumbersome, although it looked like it would be handy in an art studio. I think your on the right track, maybe find a mini bag to combine and scale down your essential must have supplies, including a smaller art board, small washi masking tape roll, and art journal. Then you can go anywhere, at anytime. Would love to see what you get done:)🦋
I totally agree - thanks for the feedback. I found myself paralyzed by all the stuff, but I've now found a solution I really like and used on a few outings and trips. I plan to post an updated video over the next week or so!
