this was a really good video! when i was 13-14 i’d post my art on instagram just for the attention, after the likes started going down i didn’t want to draw anymore. i’m almost 16 and i’m just now starting to enjoy art again. this video has definitely motivated me to draw just for fun again, i’m gonna fill an entire sketchbook that’s just for fun, no rules, no posting, just enjoying what i love.

The first half I honestly really needed to hear. Your videos really inspire me to keep drawing and try to not force it, but to draw what I want and what I like. This is better then anyone could have said to me. You inspire me! I loved feeling like this was a pep talk, I actually shed a few tears feeling this really directly like I was there speaking with you. Also I loved seeing your old artwork. Keep on doin what you do

I agree to a point. I’m in the world of caricature. At theme parks they hire as young as 14 years old and it’s a great skill and way to understand what it takes, but I don’t recommend it to everyone. It is work and you have to really want to learn and grow. They start you in a “park (retail) style” witch is a great way to understand most places have a “house style” and how to go about braking it down to learn it easier. It also pushes a lot of people to find their voice and to be/make friends that are like minded. Loving art and wanting to do it for life and or a living.

Since I started posting on social media, it has skewed my perspective of my own artwork and maked me feel like my art doesn't matter and that I'm not good enough. It really does negativity impact mental health. I use to draw everyday and love my artwork for everything it was, even though I wasn't great at drawing, but that changed once I discovered social media. And I started drawing less and less, and almost completely gave up on drawing at one point. I only recently started getting back that motivation and passion I once had, and I've started to make art just for me and to make myself happy.

I'm 30 and I've just started drawing again, and I'm pretty much only showing my friends. I want to share my art online, but I've already gone through the no likes struggle, and it sucks. The validation is so good, but I know that my brain is going to hate it if I share my work and get nothing. It's been so good to just DRAW again

Thank you for being honest! This is what I been looking for someone whom knows the struggle of social media and showing your art. I’m 33, I just want to sell my art for a living. But, social media shadow bans me. I love to draw for me and when I want to. However, I want to be a full time artist.

I rarely post my art online and when I do I have my few loyal followers that like my art for what it is. I don't use instagram cause it just wasn't good for me.
