Building Overview
This one-story building is designed to harmonize with the natural topography of the site. It is strategically positioned along the longitude of the road, effectively integrating with its surroundings. The building is functionally divided into two distinct sections: one serving as an art workshop and the other as a residential house.
Entrance and Layout
The entrance to the building is directly accessible from the road. Upon entering, there is a dividing room that accommodates a closet and a restroom. The living and dining areas are combined into a spacious main hall, which seamlessly connects to the kitchen located next to the chimney. The kitchen also features traditional Armenian elements, including a baking area and wine storage space. The residential section includes a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
Art Workshop
The workshop area is separated from the residential section by a staircase that leads to the roof. The art workshop includes a large, versatile hall suitable for various activities, as well as a bathroom and a storage room.
Roof and Environmental Features
The roof is partially covered and incorporates a green roof system, which includes a drainage system for watering the plants. This not only enhances the building’s aesthetic appeal but also contributes to environmental sustainability.
Architectural Style
The façade presents a striking contrast between modern and traditional architectural elements. Large glass openings are used to create a seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces. Traditional features include old-style wooden doors with metallic knocks and walls constructed from dark-colored basalt stone arranged in mixed lines.
