This song is not about the war actually. It is intimate poetry. Pivovarov often uses poems by classic or unknown poets and writes music for those poems. He calls this project "your verses, my music". This particular poem was written by Geo Shkurupii in 1922. The poet was later murdered by the Soviets and become one of the so called "exterminated renaissance"
