I had to laugh. After watching your video and then purchasing the CP400, I loaded my CO2 and then loaded the pellets into the magazine, all the while repeating your comment about using a dibber to seat the pellets so they don't fall out. It stuck in my mind because I wasn't familiar with the term and had to look it up. I didn't and immediate found myself on the floor trying to pick up all of the pellets that dropped out of the magazine. LOL. Thanks for another great, honest review
Today i shoot this first time and i am Schok 6 metres and is one hole first co2 what i have precision Like pca/pcp thank you Andy for pushing me to buy that pliker
Do not sand down the CP2 stock. It fits. Just give it a little push. It clicks in fine. With a reddot on the picatinny rail it makes the CP400 a wonderful little tactical airgun. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. AAR for the videos!
Hi Andy. Sometime ago I found by chance this pistol while browsing my preferred online airgun shop new arrivals section. Here in Brazil it is sold just as TSS CP400 and not as Artemis but it is exactly the same pistol. I like very much its look resembling the 80's classic Robocop pistol (take a look). It is indeed quick nice to use and accurate above average for a middle price CO2 pistol. It is a shame it is shipped with just one magazine because I miss at leat one more. Very nice review as usual. I like very much your channel. Greetings from Brazil.
€69 plus about €15 shipping from toro-distribution in france, bloke on a forum ordered one and was quite happy. Ordering from abroad is always a risk, but a hell of a lot cheaper than rip off Britain.
Great vid as always. Very accurate indeed. Would love to see the 5ftlbs version. Opens up more close range "possibilities. All the best from lancashire.
I love the CP2 an absolutely great gun for the money (would still be worth it at 50% more). I have to disagree with Andy on this one, mine was meant to be the full power version. Terrible trigger and if you have a red dot that straddles the magazine on normal mounts the magazine does not index, it catches on the mount. Also why should you need a 'didder' to seat the pellets? That is just a really poor design feature. At least with the Umerex mags you can seat the pellet with a positive push. With open sights it is woefully accurate, I got better groups with a Umerex CP88 (standard version). I thought it was so bad that I took it back the next day. The CP2 however...... amazing gun!
OOHHH, i thought it was going to be a new version of the Baikal 651 pistol,BUT its very similar in appearance but Expensive!!!!!!and nowhere as good,my Baikal was less than half the price of this gun and is of typical RU firearms quality, just a pity that RU products seem to be difficult to find, just look at the Baikal web sight to see what we "could "have!!!!
@@urban2153 .I just found them, and wouldn't you know, they're out of stock! I'll send these folks a message to see when they will be back in stock. Thanks for this!
@@urban2153 I found that out when I bought my Xisico 22 air rifle from him last month,..I had not seen those pistols at that time. I don't know how I missed them at that time!! LOL!
I got mine as a SPA CP400 from CSS. Exactly the same pistol, just different license. Only crappy thing is that I can't get extra rotary magazines for it. Only one comes with it. However, I love the gun and it's absolutely awesome on Co2.
Another great review Andy. With the ability to get your hands on the products from Drapers, how about doing a review on some field strippable CO2 replicas.
I like it ... Speed and power are irrelevant , it's what it is , a tin can , 10mtr Target plinker , how I would love my pp700 artamiss to have a 6 or 8 shot magazine capability... Now that would be awesome , as the pp700 is a fantastic PCP pistol ...
Exactly kind a copy of Baikal 651. Here in Russia we can buy Baikal 651 for less than 50 GBP. And it is fantastically accurate (the most accurate co2 pistol I have tried is 651 baikal).
@@kenshin9988 unfortunately all Baikal production is really low quality. One pistol could be OK and the next one is piece of metal which should be repaired just at the moment it is produced.
Hi Andy, I've recently read that this gun, as well as the Baikal variant of this, will take 4,4mm copper clad lead BB's too, do you know if this is actually true? as it would greatly reduce ricochets
Resembles my Russian Baikal 651k. But the Baikal shoots BB's and pellets, has a rifle attachment. And magnetic magazines to hold BB's. You other version is the same as my Diana Chaser
My question: It looks like a 9-11mm dove tail. But only able to fit one ring, thus a red dot. Andy said, "fitted". I'm wondering if that means a "modification" of some sort? He's usually pretty thorough in his reviews. I'm surprised he didn't explain this point as well.
Hey Andy! Any chance your buddies at Drapers can get you a Stoeger or two to review? They look pretty unique and I'm really curious as to how they stack up, and would value your opinion. Cheers.
Hi mate. Nice look to this gun...and i like its performance aswell. I just paused this video and went and watched your *SMK Victory CP2 Multi* video. I have a question about it. It comes with the two magazines in both *.177* and *.22* calibers. *Which barrel is which caliber?* Rob.
The gun comes in either .177 OR .22 and has two barrels for each gun. But both barrels are the same calibre as your chosen gun calibre. It is not 2 calibres in 1 gun.
they probably forgot the screw for the moving sight piece, i got a little screw that keeps it from moving. could been bad assembly and fallen out probably
Fine review, just one question/remark. I own a cp 400 and when the trigger safety is on it still fires if you pull back the hammer and let it fall back (not when you gently put it back). So the remark would be, the hammer seems to do something and the question is, is it supposed to fire?
The pellets falling out is a regular with a number of guns with this type of loading. I found it with my Umarex 1911 colt automatic. I got around it by changing the pellets from flat top sports pellet to round nose.
A bit mixed feelings of this pistol.. but that is never a reason not to leave the vid without a thumbs up. 😊👍 First off that pistol looked amazing on the box and laying on the table. The first half of the pistol looks just fantastic! But then I noticed the horrible looking grip (that eventually will be shown to be annoying to remove just to get the co2 cartridge installed). And it has a horrible screw cap underneath the grip - that only holds the grip in place. That co2 cartridge screw could have been worked instead using an Allen key. The grip screw could have been some low capped screw instead - since apparently you do need a whole tool box with you to the range anyhow..😂 Why the hell is there a hammer with no function? Apparently this is no replica even.. The visible rotary drum magazine do not really disturb me at all for some odd reason - but why does the rear sight have no grub screw to lock it into place? But. The accuracy of it do patch up the annoying little things. If there is to be found a harder shooting version of it - then I'd definitely would consider buying one.
How does this one compare to the Diana Chaser, I wonder? I am not at all 'happy' with that pistol grip design, my Diana has the same grip and to me, it is NOT comfortable.
I really need your help. I bought the Artemis PP700SA. i have bought the correct coupling adaptor for my air tank. My problem is , my gun will not charge more than 8 bar. The air is coming out of the sides of the pressure gage at front of gun. I tightened it up so the air stopped coming out of guns gage but it still isn’t filling. My scuba tank fills my rifles in seconds so i am at a loss. Extremely confused. Could you please please shed some light on this problem. Am i doing something wrong or is the gun faulty
can you say more about those guns please? I'm thinking about buying cp2 or Diana chaser . CP2 is kinda 30% cheaper and have 2 spare drums , but is it as good as diana? And what about overall quality of artemis ?
@@handlesarefeckinstupid yeah , i kinda figured it out like year ago xD Still it has minor differences , for example artemis one got pear-shaped charging handle , while diana has that ultra-awkward cylindrical one with 3 rubbers
Nice review as always Andy ....I just watched it on airgun101 and to be honest I wouldn't want to be associated with the site , started off good but full of trophy hunter videos now
Great looking pistol - except for the grip/stock! Looks nicely made and engineered - except for the grip-stock-CO2 loading disaster. For real, everyone else has figured this out more not less. Why doesn't the floppy screwy thing seat the cylinder and attach the useless and in the way slidey bottom bit, which is attached to the grip/stock with said cumbersome floppy screwy thing. ...but them there's the accuracy ...and it looks a little cooler ...and I'm sure to remember to pocket a penny

Seen it for sale online in Poland for about £60 claiming 17 joules (12ft/lb) seems a bit optimistic but surely something near 6 or 8 joules should be achievable with a reasonable shot count?
That was my question also. It looks like a 9-11mm dove tail. But, only able to fit one ring....so a "scope" would be out of the question. Andy said, "fitted". I'm wondering if that means a "modification" of some sort? He's usually pretty thorough in his reviews. I'm surprised he didn't explain this point as well.
Hmm, not seeing where the price is on this? Seems more like a 100 dollar pistol at most. And is that a plastic magazine? Those little teeth on the mag won't last long
Copie of baikal mp 651, Made in china. haven't see you really shot with this gun... have don't know the position, for me your position after the shots is untrue. precision seen on other video is not as good.
