Loved your presentation. I like the way you choose and lay your colours.

Thanks for the review. Just watched another review. It was positive as well. He pointed out that you should save the lead if it breaks because it can be put in a little water and it will pretty much melt and continues to be of good use. I just received my pencils and look forward to a day of swatching and playing. Will be trying them out in Johanna's World of Flowers. Thanks for your wonderful videos.

The tiger painting is really beautiful. Thanks so much for the review. I have a set of Albrecht Durer from Faber Castell....they are absolutely lovely.

Thank you for your first impressions, I also watched your next 2 videos about these pencils and have decided to purchase them. I own the Arteza colored pencils and like them so much, that I purchased a back up set on a lightening deal from Amazon. Since they are not open stock, I wanted a backup.

I’ve been wondering what the Arteza range is like. My budget doesn’t stretch as far as I’d like when it comes to art supplies; I treated myself last year on Black Friday to some Faber Castell Polychromos & they’re to die for! However, it was a tin of 36 & took lots of saving my pennies. I’m a little sad that my colours are limited but they’re really lovely & I feel very lucky to have the set I do have. I’ve been thinking recently about wanting to play around with watercolour pencils, & I especially love the bright colours of Derwent Inktense Watercolour pencils - but the price is sadly out of my budget. Arteza keep popping up in my recommended / suggested on Amazon & I’ve always been in 2 minds whether to give them a try. I think with some layering you could really get some lovely results. I’d certainly love to see a follow up video if & when you’ve mastered the layering of these pencils :) I’m also impressed that any of the pencils are light fast for what you pay! So far I only know that a certain percentage of the Derwent Inktense are light fast too.. not all. So that’s really interesting to compare. (Not that I’m ever good enough to sell my drawings or paintings I might add, haha!) Your picture is beautiful by the way! Thanks ever so much for a lovely review. Laura x P.S. Did your husband need to have another espresso the next morning to keep him going until bedtime? Haha!

I have the inktense pencils and i find them to be a bit dull. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong? And the intense pencils DO lift a bit. I haven't tried these... but I will be very soon!!

Laura Williams, you will be thrilled with Artezas water color pencils, full of beautiful colors, pigments melt wonderful, and as Henny says and others do, you can use the pencil w/o the water.

I got a 72 piece set for about $22. These look like they'll be fun to paint with, and for the price, having that many colors sounds like a deal

I just ordered those last night and came upon your video today. I'm loving the way they look on your picture. While I would love the Faber-Castell or Derwent watercholor pencils, Arteza fits my budget. The two-sets-in-one is pretty nice as well.

The pigment in these watercolour pencils are known and rated. * = 5 - 10 years * * = 10 - 25 years * * * = 25 - 50 years * * * * = 50 - 100 years+

I tested them at home and this is absolutely not true. The new pencils do not have a lightfast rating on them.
