Hey great stuff, thank you! Earnhardt did a fair amount of ARTGO/ASA events in the late 80's,i saw him race at the MN state fair,Rusty Wallace,Butch Lindley won the fair Labor Day race with that oddball Cavalier a little further back in the 80's-we got to see a bunch of good drivers run in ARTGO,i miss those days and that sanctioning body,John McKarns knew what he was doing...
He use to make some appearances in the midwest back in the late 80's. I know he went to Grundy county twice (once to race in ARTGO event and once to match race Mark Martin). I know he also raced in ARTGO events at Lacrosse Wi, Raceway park in Minnesota and ASA events at Milwaukee and Sandusky OH.
Im reading all about how the dominator raced artgo events etc. in midwest in the 80s, remember a few myself.Did the dominator ever run with the leaders where the REAL racing was?
Dale drove a number of Artgo races that year, though I only saw him race the 8 car when he was at the La Crosse Speedway. Apparently he drove the number 3 as well. It was common in the 80's for cup drivers to frequent smaller divisions and local tracks. Bobby Allison was all over the place during that time, too.
