The nostalgia. I'd be watching stuff like Arthur early in the day, and Family Guy and the Simpsons in the evening. Growing up without cable was a hell of a drug
Okay. I was 15 years of age going on 16 years of age in 1996; I am currently 40 years of age going on 41 years of age later on this year. While I was already in High School in 1996, I did love Arthur. A teenager as we know is not a little kid anymore, but not an adult yet. I still love Arthur to this very day. You can tell me I'm too old for Arthur, but I love Arthur.

Well, that's because the PBS Kids sponsors are supposed to promote why they sponsor their shows instead of their own products. If it was the other way around, then it'd just be another glorified ad.
Hey, there! I want to say thank for using my video footage for Season 14 (2010-2011) and Season 21 (2017-2018) of Arthur in your compilation. The funding and end credits for Arthur from the early 2000's to the early 2010's bring back memories for me. Well done!
Funding for Arthur is provided by the Coroporation for Public Broadcasting, and thank you for viewing this program, provided by your local PBS station.
The 2006 ones hit me every time i remember coming home from school in grade 4 and watching pbs kids and seeing these ads before arthur comes on oh the memories.
There Were… Trains and Planes and Trucks and Cars… Books and Blocks and Bugs in Jars! and After School, When the Boys came Home, sometimes Together and Sometimes Alone. Inside the Box the Toys Waited each Day… for the boys to come Home and their Chance to Play. Every Toy had a Memory of PlayDays gone by. the Planes flew Forever… the Blocks piled High!
The main thing I noticed is how the sponsorships, grants and endowments dropped off notably when the Great Recession hit. It sort of symbolizes the sad state Public Broadcasting is in today.
To be fair, I really miss how in the 90s and early to mid 2000s, it felt special watching these. Sure they reaired on PBS Kids Sprout, but it was a bummer once they stopped airing them on local PBS affiliations. I mainly stopped watching PBS Kids by 2007, but that's because shows like Super Why rarely kept my interest.
@@DellFanProductions Super Why! was really a low point in PBS Kids. Though once in a while I will pick up an "Arthur" DVD from a retailer. I mostly look for season six episodes with the redub.
DellFan Productions super why was part of my childhood, but I’m a 2010s kid, so i can see it being bad from your perspective.edit: I also never saw pbs cuz I actually had cable. And even if u could watch it with cable, I couldn’t find it on direct tv, and it’s not on Hulu (the thing I use to watch tv nowadays.)edit 2: I also will use HBO max to watch TV when it comes out.
I want to go back in time and save all the old fundings of Arthur and all the other PBS Kids shows from the last few years and make them remain and especially the Juicy Juice ones
I remember “Arthur’s Missing Pal” aired on PBS Kids sometime during 2006 or 2007. I don’t remember if it used a unique funding credits sequence like “Arthur’s Perfect Christmas” and “Arthur: It’s Only Rock and Roll” or the regular funding credits sequence from season 10 or season 11.
Arthur Is One Of My Favorite Shows On PBS Since I Was Watching And Enjoyed When I Was 3 Years Old The Show Since Went On The Aired In 1996 I’m 26 Now I Really Love Arthur
◾ *Arthur* (October 7, 1996 - February 21, 2022) ◾ *Postcards from Buster* (October 11, 2004 - February 20, 2012) It's been a great ride and awesome show. Thank you for the greatest childhood memories that I will always cherish forever. 💖❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Sponsor check: Teddy grahams - less than a season Polaroid, 60 second cinnamon rolls, Danimals, Zoopals, CVS caremore - 1 season Lego - 2 seasons Baby gap - 3 seasons Alpha-bits - 4 seasons Juicy juice, Chuck e cheeses - 7 seasons Chuck e cheeses - 1 extra season Abcmouse.com - started 8 seasons ago, still a sponsor today CPB - EVERY SEASON!
I loved when it was Michael Caloz (D.W.), but Sonja Bell (Jane Read) is also good as well. I think she's the longest running announcer for the series behind Danny Brochu (Buster)
You mean like baby gap and juicy juice are in the beginning of Arthur’s birthday in 1997 and Polaroid is in the beginning of Arthur makes the team in 1997?
Arthur first aired when I was 10 when I lived at Fort Sam Houston, Texas in late 1996 when I was growing up. I still know the funding credits from season 1.
Man, I Started Watching Arthur When I Was 8 Years Old, Back In The Year Of 2014. It Was An Amazing And Hilarious Pbskids Show, And Very Enjoyable For My Family And Friends. !Especially For My Grandparents! They Were Both Born In Different Years, And My Grandpa Watched Similar Shows To Arthur... But My Grandmother Was The Only One Who Watched The Actual Show, But Did Not Understand English Very Well. !But She Liked The Show Very Much! Unfortunately Though, My Grandparents Passed Away. !But My Adopted Brother Watched With Me!

Season 7 #2 - Post Alpha-Bits changes for the umpteenth time. You know what, since that's probably gonna just keep on happening, I'll just stop keeping track of that. Season 8 - The "Viewers Like You" text is back, and the USDE and Ready to Learn grants are gone. Season 8 #2 - Teddy Grahams is introduced, and the USDE is back. Seasons 1-4 are my childhood!!! I was ages 4-7 for those and I was a huge Arthur fan. Why won't they release the first 4 seasons on Blu-Ray already?!?!
It's stupid honestly. Out of all of their shows THEY know Arthur is the most popular one. I like how the US got seasons 10 and above on DVD but nothing for the first few.
@@TheConuresrule I agree!! And I've heard that plenty of adults who grew up with Arthur still enjoy the old episodes so there's even more of a reason to put it on DVD and Blu-ray
Arthur has been running for over twenty years, and the only sponsor that stuck around for more than five was that freaking mouse. Ironically, it would be sponsored by ABC Mouse after CEC ended their 20-year PBS contract.
Rachel Silverstein what’s next? When PBS ends their probably existing 20 year contract with ABC mouse they’ll sign a 20 year contract with Disney then they’ll say “this program is funded by Mickey and the roadster racers!”(if PBS still exists in like 20 years)
I'm watching Arthur on channel 13 as I type this. I couldn't help but mention about today's commercials being kinda lame compared to the earlier times, not to say these these mini commercials on this video are amazing. I know nostalgia definitely does play a part in it, I just cant help that there was distinct charm and personality to older commercials that make them so memorable. I've been mostly seeing ones that are either overly ridiculous and annoying that begs for your attention or it's either bland, sterile, and uninspiring except for a very few exceptions. I just miss the storytelling, unique characters, and strong sense of visual atmosphere that encompassed those commercials.

When Trying to Watch the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Funding Credits Does it Said: "This Video Contains from PBS Who Has Blocked in Your Country on Copyright Grounds"
It's really goddamn sad how the sponsorships and grants dwindled over time to the point where the final episode is Brought to You By IKEA and ABC Mouse.
Arthur is made possible in part by the corporation for public broadcasting. And by viewers like you! The national children’s government foundation. Polk bros foundation. the irving haris foundation. And by the Arthur vining Davis foundations.
You mean like the corporation for public broadcasting, viewers like you, and the Arthur vining Davis foundations are in the beginning and the end of Arthur’s birthday in 1997?
I grew up with the 2003-15 Arthur Funding Credits, so yeah, I stopped watching PBS Kids when I was 12, and I'm now 18, so I haven't watched PBS Kids in six years.
The Danimals Yogurt Commercial where a farmer was cutting trees to spell out the word that was shown in Clifford was also shown in Arthur for a brief time. Do you have those fundings?

I remember all of these fundings for Arthur. From 1996 until present. But it's not about how many funding anyone remembers - it's the childhood behind them.
