Wow wow wow. Breath, man. We can't assure that this is the best videogame ever. Rockstar already has one game that is almost certainly better than RDR2... and don't forget the sagas that the videogame industry has. Not only better gameplay but even a better and/or more interesting narrative structure that a lot of games have.

Arthur Morgan is not real. He's a fictional character created for a video game, motion-captured or not. His death has zero impact on reality-it's literally useless outside of the game. You’re getting all worked up over pixels and scripted lines. Seriously, just enjoy the game and suck it up. It's a story, not a life event. Move on and stop acting like this digital cowboy’s demise is some life-altering tragedy.

And he didn’t want the sunset, he watched the sunrise. I think it shows that you don’t always get what you want, but rather what you need. Arthur didn’t want to die, but in facing death, he overcame everything that had weighed so heavy on his soul.

I can’t wait for future generations to dig up this masterpiece and actually think that Arthur Morgan was a real cowboy who journeyed through late 19th century America.

So he can spend eternity after death dying the things he said. Him dying facing east with the sun rise is representative of his redemption and a metaphor.

I was very fortunate enough that despite the game being out for like 4 years at the point I started playing it, it hadn’t been (badly) spoiled for me, and I was extremely grateful about that, this game made me cry so many times and so damn hard. 😂 If I could replay it not knowing anything (besides the controls) I would in a heartbeat!
