Niall Heaton i can't say you're completely wrong, Arthur certainly has an effect which can't be denied but have you ever seen a bad tribute? Where the song doesn't mix, terrible transitions(sometimes almost completely lacking) with clips just thrown together? There's a big difference when you watch one that has the same clips but placed in different areas with a song playing that doesn't fit(imagine Barbie World being the song used in this video) and one that was put together well. This one(and pretty much every other Tribute this channel has done that I've seen) does it well, it's not as simple as slapping clips with Arthur together.

Only then he started to even share a room with them, previous to that both Jack and Abby were having to sleep on the very opposite end of camp(meaning John was as far away as he could possibly be without leaving or compromising their AO) in a terrible excuse of a tent that only shielded them from the elements from a very small side whereas John was living it up in what's probably the 2nd best tent in the camp that has more than enough from for everyone.

If Arthur never died he would have kept a lot more control over Dutch in the ending, if Dutch helped kill Micah, Arthur would have made him see sense again

Hamza Irshad canon ending to the game is high honour ending, meaning Arthur was in a sense a good guy. In the last ride you hear flashbacks of the good deeds he had done, he killed and robbed people but he had a good thing about him, he states it also he kills when he needs to. He made his last stand and fought Micah to make sure John got out safely. He hates it when people are killed for no reason, the sister said he was a great man, Abigail said he was a great man, Swanson said it, Sadie also. Arthur’s redemption was once he got TB was to become a greater man, he even said it himself, flashbacks also said that this is his chance to do the right thing. So as I said the canon ending is the high honour.
Yo it’s me Carl I’ve played all the games you mentioned and still I go with Arthur because nobody tells a story the way Rockstar does . Nobody .. and the assassins creed games are some of my favs , Tlou is in my top 10 games ever but Rockstar just does stuff that much better than everyone
I noticed that as well. While Arthur was lying on the floor. Dying. Still devoted and loyal to Dutch. Dutch, for a split second sees his son. Seeing what he had done and let Micah do. And simply Arthur saying "I gave you all I had". Dutch had gone too far and was possibly ashamed and knew he could not fix it. And the guilt eats at him. Hell. Even in the first game. He couldn't kill John. Had many attempts to do do. But couldn't bring himself. It's the love. Loyalty. Respect. Dutch may be a bad man who lost his way. But his love for those who severed him and rode along side. Is immeasurable. And that's some amazing stuff.
Oh bullshit. Dutch would have killed John. He tried to. He can kill John on the gatling gun in the first game. It's John that could never bring himself to kill Dutch. John even admits this to Ross. He said he would kill Ross a hundred times before Dutch. In RDR 2's journal on the last page, John talks about how he couldn't kill Dutch on the mountain. He wanted to but couldn't bring himself to do it. Dutch never loved Arthur or John. If he loved them like sons he never would have left them to die just because they disagreed with him. Dutch is a liar and a narcissist. Fathers don't give their sons guns and raise them to be killers then abandon them to die. And the fact that so many people who played the game still think Dutch is a good guy, it just shows how good at manipulation Dutch is. Even after the game, Dutch has you all fooled. Rain's Fall said it best "People don't change. They just becoem more of who they really are." Dutch was never a good person.
On the final mission with John, he asks Dutch "What're you doing here, Dutch" He replies with "Same as you" which makes me think, he teamed up with Micah again to avenge Arthur like John and take the money but in the end he doesn't care about it and leaves it for John
I never cried because of a game before, but that moment when Arthur said "Thank You" to his horse and that moment when Arthur said "I gave you all I had" were the two moments that finally broke me. May God have mercy on your soul. We love you, Arthur Morgan
To be honest, even though, Marston is my favorite, Arthur Morgan had more character development in Red Dead Redemption 2 than Marston in Red Dead Redemption.
True but rdr2 gives John more character development, as he was someone who initially didn't give his family anything, and he became someone who gave his family everything, including his own life.
I lost my dad and beat this game all around the same time. I heard this song on Pandora knowing my dad wasn't long for our world. Hearing this song put me back in both situations and they both cut me to the core. Thank you. My tears are not of anger, but for my father and Arthur Morgan. Both have been set free. Both were amazing and truly loved.
The looks Dutch gives to Arthur as he’s lying beneath him dying seem so powerful to me and made me sad when I first played because I saw it as Dutch for a moment showing that he wasn’t always lying he loved Arthur and then he looks angry as if the bad side is telling him not to care about a “traitor” and when he walks away that’s when I think he broke because he didn’t follow either side it’s like he didn’t know who he was anymore. Plus I see his final words of “our time has passed” is him finally understanding what Arthur was trying to say all those years ago
The look of anger wasn't because of Arthur it was because he knew he it was fault as much as it was Michas he was mislead and fooled by Bell it cost him a family his greed and psychosis blinded his judgement and corrupted his soul
I finished the main story and I'm on the Epilogues now. As much as I love John, playing as him when all I've done is play as Arthur... It doesn't feel right...
John is what's left of arthur now. He's his little brother and his legacy. Every tedious chore I do, every skinner brother I kill, every piece of happiness john brings about for the others makes me think of arthur and his sacrifice
Arthur is the only video game character ive ever got attached to. And before you know it he's gone.... Still really makes me sad. Wish it was just Arthur, John, Lenny, Charles, and Sadie. Seemed to be the only sensible people.
Hosea too. He kept dutch under control as much as he could, and when he died dutch didnt have anyone to ground him and micah started twisting his mind even more
To me rockstar really did something special with this game, Arthur's development was just amazing and what really just impressed me was the fact that with Arthur's change I changed, the way I played the game changed, like in later missions people offered me money or other stuff but I just couldn't bring myself to take it...or whenever I had the choice to offer someone money to help them I just felt the need to do so
In my game Arthur went into chapter 5 with as high honor as He could have. It dipped a little here n there till chapter 6 I just did a few good deeds and released a few fish here n there. I didn't kill anyone retrieving the pipe for rains fall either and got the special trinket from him. I helped everyone I could. I kept Arthur's honor maxed out and helped John escape. I am glad I did and it wasn't easy because the game wants you to kill, rob and steal. John now carries Arthur's legacy Bringing in bounties, doing chores on the ranch and hunting down Skinners, Lemoyne raiders, Del Lobos, Laramies and the likes.
It seems Sadie and Arthur finished off the last of them as I have still been playing John and have yet to run into any of the O'Driscolls or any of their hideouts. John goes out at night riding his dark bay Turk dressed in all black and wearing the pagan skull mask. Brandishing his gold Lancaster repeater as he rides through the darkness searching for those that would cause harm to the innocent. When he finds them, they are dispatched and his calling card is a pile of burned bodies.
The end broke my heart, not only because of Arthur's death, but also because of Dutch. That poor bastard got his game turned on himself with Micah manipulating him to the point where he didn't know who to trust anymore, not even his 'son' Arthur. Watching him standing there while Arthur died was truly heartbreaking for me.
Dutch's face at the end when he realizes what he has done. It makes me so sad, all of it for that rat. He really did give all he had, and 4 months after first finishing the game im still crying. We miss you Arthur.
This is what I love about the rockstar writers, they created a character (John marston) whom we all grew to love, then, they create a character who was the man who saved John marston, Arthur Morgan is legend

@@steakslapn9724 I think we need a DLC for RDR2 called "Glory Days" You get to play as Hosea/Dutch in the prime of their gang. You could switch between the two on the fly GTA 5 style. Dutch could have an ability similar to Trevor and Hosea has one like Michael's. It would revolve around "raising" the young versions of Arthur, John, Javier, Bill and even the Calander brothers (should they have been around at that time) The plot could be about where they were before they came to West Elizabeth and the Easter half of the country and what drove them there. And you could even place it in the time frame before Hoseas wife died and before Dutchs woman was killed by Colm O'Driscoll.
it is actually very depressing especially the first week after you finish Arthur’s story , I’m sure many wished for a happier ending for Arthur , I know I did .

Rockstar only made one mistake with this game they made Arthur to real I don't think we'll ever build a laser game better than this one . It’s crazy how loyal to Dutch Arthur was at the end even though Dutch didn’t trust him anymore. He knew the gang was done but he still had the balls to go back to beaver hollow and tell Dutch Micah snitched. I still don’t understand why Dutch just walks away at the end
Sir Butternuts Dutch is a blind fool. Your real friends tell you the truth even though it’s hurt. True friends are brutally honest as well . Arthur just wanted Dutch to make wiser and better decisions so the gang wouldn’t fall apart but Dutch’s pride and the 🐀 took over
I think the guilt and realization of what just happened hit Dutch at once. And at the moment Arthur was lying, dying. Dutch could not just give Arthur a hand as if nothing happened. Dutch was ashamed and knew nothing he said or did would ever fix it. If Arthur had lived. He would've left for sure. And for Dutch losing his right hand man? Man. That would fuck anyone up.
Eh, I don't know about that. Don't get me wrong, Arthur's death is very sad, yes, but that's an incredibly broad statement. One I don't think I agree with personally.

I just felt spending close to 80 hours with a character who is incredibly relatable and likable, and to watch him waste away for days of game play till he looks like death. And to see him give his last so John, another beloved character. Can get the chance to raise his family. I'm sorry but when he is laying on that mountain watching the sun rise as his chest slows and he stops breathing. It hit me harder than any death I have ever witnessed in media to date.
Watched this in front of my kids not thinking they were paying attention , heard my 6 year old daughter say "aurther " and my son say "its too sad " and realised they were crying . I told them its ok daddy is crying too.
That moment you realize John is gone too.. Gamers fell in love with John's character. His personality felt real and he was gunned down in his own property. Buried by his own wife and son
This literally made me ball my eyes out so much Arthur is my favorite character in any videogame ever even if he wasn’t the best morally but I think that in the end he had a bit of redemption him and John are the best brothers ever
I expected something was going to happen to Arthur but over time I watch and played the story and I played honorable and eventually thought he was just going to leave the gang and live with Mary but when he got diagnosed with tuberculosis I looked up how deadly that was in 1899 and when I looked at the amount of deaths it caused that year I started bawling my eyes out and just wanted to restart to see if I could avoid it because I had average weight and Arthur in my game was pretty well taken care of like I did everything possible to keep him from dying and getting shot or drunk but like you know stuff doesn’t always go the way you want and he ended up dying then when it to John and his family arguing I just wanting to yell at John shut up mourn your best friend and build this dude an altar to worship he was a god compared to you and I like John too but I felt way closer to Arthur because I’m more like Arthur in real life I’m not saying I’ve been a thief and then something happened so I stopped but the way he talks about his parents and his life and who he is to himself and others I felt like he was like me in a way like how he covered his pain with jokes and was more worried about others than himself I felt like I was there just listening and feeling him in a spiritual way and emotional way so when he died I was saying to myself Johns death is nothing compared to Arthur’s because it felt like Arthur had a chance I also liked how Arthur was a father to Jack when John didn’t want to be so I liked him more and more I loved Arthur like he was my own brother even though he is way older than me at around 36 I’m only a teenager and I just felt as if he was the brother that everyone needs and wants like he’ll make fun of you but support you he’ll be there for you he won’t care about what people say about him as long as they don’t bother him he is very down to Earth but at the same time high in the sky wishing a lot of stuff and that’s why this is the best character I’ve ever played as and I hate the fact he died but it’s something we can’t change that but the developers can somewhat if they add in more missions they don’t even have to be cannon they can be dlc I hope so way some how Rockstar sees this and realize that they should have made Arthur live I’m not saying Red Dead Redemption 2 is a bad game I’m saying the end was a bit disappointing not like it wasn’t enough but that it was too much for my feelings and other gamers around the world who bought this game if I could rate Red Dead Redemption 2 it would be a 5/5 stars for me it was a perfect game with a sad ending I as a person didn’t like but it’s ok because everyone has opinions my opinion when it comes to video games is hat he main character should live and have a happy life I know it’s cliche and stuff but I love it and if you read this whole thing thank you for listening to my opinion and caring I appreciate it also the most badass line in this game comes from Arthur when John calls him his brother and Arthur just responds with “I know...I know” I started getting pumped for action and crying at the same time
The song that really is good for this video is shine your light from ladder 49. It represents the sadness, heartbreaking, and loyal moments John and Arthur had together. Such a great game.
I played the game knowing something was bound to go wrong. But when Arthur was slowly dieing and in the closing part of the chapter 6 when he gave John his hat, his satchel I knew his time was up I among other players cried seeing this character we played for along time as Die. it hit hard and thanks to Rockstar we now know what went wrong fully with Dutch and the gang but also knowing Arthur Morgan a brother to John who helped him get out of the gang fully aware he wouldn't make in the end and found Redemption for his pass actions truly a character I won't forget.
This was saddest game I played and let me say I played a ton of games. Gameplay on this game was awesome and awesome story. When you play countless hours into a game and at the end of the game the player you were playing dies it's hard not to cry. Rockstar did awesome game one of things I remember from Arthur was him saying "Revenge is a fool's game" and this is so true in life. RIP Arthur RIP.

I think Arthur’s death was more saddening because him and John, our beloved john that we hold dearly, were brothers. And the fact that Arthur set out to help him and his family, and risk his life for them, only to get betrayed by Dutch and micha. For a split second when Arthur was lying on the mountain dying, Dutch saw his son and realised everything he had done to his sons,his brothers and his gang. Dutch va said that when he took a few steps back from his dying companion he cried his eyes out. Eventhough Dutch was such an intelligent man he was fooled by a man and a picture of a future that was simply impossible to reach. Dutch thought that he needed was money when really all he needed was to be there for his sons and family.
Arthur protected John till the end I'm glad we got this story and how much it changed Arthur and John into the people at the end and John in red dead redemption 1
