Arthur was the prototype inverted powered coaster from Mack. Located at Europa Park, this innovative ride system combines elements of both a dark ride and roller coaster. This ride is great and I wish more like it were built.

Heh, your explanation of electrically powered coasters at the start reminded me of a now-defunct local park I went to as a kid (Camelot). It had a diesel powered coaster - haven't seen one of those anywhere else!

1:50 Although the english title uses "the Invisibles" from the first movie. The english version still calls them the Minimoys and never calls them "the invisibles" (also they loved to add pop culture songs (a Lady Gaga Poker Face parody) and extremely traumatic scenes (second movie's mummy scene) into their second and third movies for some odd reason)

Along with the 3 existing Mack coasters, Beijing Shibaolai Amusement Equipment built a knock-version at Guangzhou Sunac Land. It has a dark ride section, but a weak coaster section. Then Jinma Rides has a similar-ish coaster concept at Wushang Dream Park, but that one is a gravity-driven thrill coaster with two launches, but still retains a few dark ride sequences. Arthur and Dragon Gliders still feel like they utilize the ride concept the best of the bunch.

Single rider line for this is awesome. The target demographic of families combined with the 4 seat cars usually keep it moving quite fast. 06:50 „You then come face to face with… [half of] a giant rat“ 😜 07:20 you press a buttonto fire and it somehow affects your rotation in the next part.

@@CanobieCoaster I'm pretty sure it does. But as every rider has a button, the combination of the 4 would have to be tested to be completely sure. But the last part is definitely the only part where the controlled spin differs from ride to ride.

I’ve seen some POVs of Jurrasic Flyers at Universal Beijing And to say it very blunt: they not even use 10% of what this ride concept is capable of when it comes to storytelling and theming. I hope they do it better with the Mack concept of the „Rocking Boat“ when building the „Creature of the Black Lagoon“ at Epic Universe someday.
