Arthur Smith Guitar Boogie cover, performed by me. Signal path: Fender Stratocaster American Vintage 62, Boss CS-3, Yamaha SPX50D (for digital reverb), Hughes&Kettner Metal Master.
Love love love love the boogie. Makes you want to get up and dance on the gym floor on the friday night dances. I am 76 and remember it well and with great memories. Thanks.
Nice job and playing. I guess the real trick is playing this on a D28 while sitting on an Army barracks cot like Arthur did it! Perkins version is worthy too.
Thank you Brian the music was just down my way I've enjoyed all of it and every minute of listening to it over and over again. Thanks mate ..bloody BRILLIANt brian
The original "Guitar Boogie" by Arthur Smith came out in the summer of 1948 and my Dad probably bought the first day it was in the store. Of course, it was a 78rpm but it it was played in our house about once a day for months. I've always felt that it steered me towards rock-n-roll so that I was into Top 40 radio and rock music about the time it hit the airwaves.
escelente solista, ja nao existe mais, detonaram a guitar com muito barulho, gostei demais sua interpretaçao, meus parabens, e bom saber que ainda existem solistas assim.
