Article 51: Case for Special Seats 

PTI was unable to contest recent parliamentary elections of 8 February 2024 due to a ban on its electoral symbol. The Election Commission of Pakistan declared in its March 2024 order that the PTI backed SIC could not claim the reserved seats in National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies. The legal battle that followed is still ongoing and the Supreme Court of Pakistan is still hearing the matter.
