A normal AI classifies images, and a computer image is just a bunch of binary (1s and 0s). So if you want your AI to recognise a cat, you feed it lots of pictures that are cats and a bunch of pictures that aren't and each time those 1s and 0s will change. Dall-e Mini basically reverses that process and somehow takes the words you type in and then it recalls the 1s and 0s (at a pixel level) that it associates with those words Source: my software engineer husband speaking under lots of correction.
Lemme see if I can help, heh. I think the issue you were running into, Robert, is you’re thinking in terms of the way internet searching has taught you: main idea and then the things that modify it. So woman, blush, 80s, makeup. Blush, 80s, and blush are all modifying “woman” - but when you’re talking to this AI, it’s taking each concept on its own. So candle, full stop. Bat, full stop. This is why when you typed nude you were expecting nude lipsticks - because you added it at the end of a long list of modifiers for lipstick. But the AI saw nude, full stop. And this is how it smooshes two (or however many) ideas together: it takes each individual idea you give it and for lack of better word, overlays them on to each other. Hope that helps. ☺️
I like it! Not in a... "I'd wear it every single day" look. I feel like it could work in some Sci-Fi movies that are really experimental with fashion, hairstyles and makeup. Some alien hookers or glam models could wear this for sure! I'd love to see more of these done by you! Such silly concepts, but so interesting too!

I paint tabletop miniatures, and I can confirm that when you customize a hue green is always a pain in the ass. It has to do with the pigment itself, I guess. I don't know if it may help, but to obtain that shade in a miniature (with acrylic paint and a layering technique) I'd have started with a bright grass green for the base, and then I'd have add a tiny bit of deep, cold blue (like navy blue) for the darkest area, and a tiny bit of bright/neon yellow to blend the outer part. I hope I made sense without too many errors, this is kinda technical and English is not my first language...
"then I'd have added*". Or have the "I'd have" as "I would have". Aside from that the grammar is well done 🙂. Also, as someone who paints miniatures and on paper, green and yellows are strange lol. Especially yellow. I think the issues found in green paints and dyes stem from the yellow.
As someone who is currently enrolled in an MIT course for developing artificial intelligence strategies, and who is rapidly becoming her company’s AI expert….this is hilarious. Trust me when I say that “makeup artist” is one of the jobs that will NEVER be replaced by automation, robotics, or other AI supported mechanisms. 😂
That much said, if dermatologists aren’t already using AI-based approaches to more accurately assess skin disorders, they will be soon. So I can imagine a future where you get your face scanned down to the level of your pores; a system analyses what your best skin care would be; and you buy personalized products. For makeup, though, you still need another human to look at you and say, “Lovely!” Or “Oh, honey - no.”

This is so interesting! As I understand it AI "learns" what things look like by "studying" a tooooon of images. So then when you ask it to create an image for you, it will spit out an amalgamation of images it has previously "studied" that are close to what you're searching for. For example I think in the eye makeup image, that dark almost double-wing looks to me like the AI saw a lot of makeup brushes applying eye makeup, and included an approximation of a makeup brush in the corner of the eye. Or, in the image for highlight, there's a weird bony structure that looks like a weird approximation of a finger melded with a makeup brush or some other tool. creepy and groovy :)

I think more than eye color you should focus on finding shades that complement your skin tone. Your eye color will just accentuate (in a good or bad way) if the color you picked matches your skin undertone.

I really love this look! It’s very glam punk. 👩🏻🎤 And honestly, even when you do techniques to show how they are incorrect, because you are a professional, the result is at worst decent. But this look (minus the brown contour maybe) is great. For an appropriate (or not!) event it’d be perfect.

I would LOVE to see this as a series for like, different types of looks. Wedding, every day, going out, etc. I think it’d also be a great twin video to let James choose what to feed to the AI to pick your outfits, hairstyle, and makeup for a specific occasion. Also your laugh of like, quiet panic where you make the sound but no facial expression is guaranteed to make any situation funnier so thank you for taking us on this journey 😂😂
