This reminds me very much of a film I watched in 1977 called Demon Seed starring Robert Vaughn (The Man From UNCLE). Even back then they were subtly warning us of the dangers of AI. Did we listen? Maybe they were TOO subtle

"I'm sorry, Dave, I can't let you do that" This brilliant little story works, not just as its own, but as an allegory for organised religion, manipulation by media, state control, big government, you name it. Intensely thought- provoking.
