The more you try not to think about x, the more you think about x. Then they go: "Oh it must be him!". This type of thing already happens with modern interrogation technics, it's why we have so many innocent people in prison. It would be 100x worse if they could read your thoughts. If you arrested me for any crime and hooked me up to one of those things I would almost certainly accidently confess even if I didn't do it. Some people might scream “1984 THOUGHT POLICE!!” and I understand their concerns. Nothing is more private than our thoughts and we all deserve mental privacy. However, this technology also has the potential for a lot of good. As the woman said in the video, it could help people with neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s and ALS. It could also allow us to communicate with our canine friends and other animals. Maybe even dolphins! I think that would be morally just and beneficial for both humans and animals. Another possible benefit is that it could improve the justice system. Imagine if only guilty people were convicted and no more wrongful death sentences were issued. Lie detectors and interrogations would be obsolete and maybe even courts would be unnecessary if this tech could reveal the truth with certainty. Of course, there are also risks and challenges. If this tech becomes widely available, it could be abused by malicious actors or hackers. The idea of someone pointing their phone at me and reading my mind without my consent is terrifying. Especially if they find out some of my kinky fantasies! But like it or not, mind reading and other amazing sci-fi AI tech are finally becoming reality. I wish there was a cure for aging too, so I could live long enough to see all of it and have a purpose in life.

in reality this is not really complicated. nor complicated to understand. Our thoughts manifests its self as electrical signals in our brain. which means the clearer the thought the come defined that particular brain signature must be. Lets defined it this way.. how did people come up with musical scales and notes? They heard a singe tone and defined it and others unto a scale. In the case of music its simple because we've only defined several key notes. But a brain obviously defines much much more, but the process is the same. Whats needed is something that can handle that amount of information and process it into notes per say. So when you think of a truck and the brains electric response reflects to that thought, the computer and ai needs to decipher among the many electrical patterns what that note will likely be. The good thing its fairly easy with A.i. because it in itself works via machine learning. millions of iterations to learn a more accurate prediction. so again. this inst hard to understand, its just that the complexity and power of our computers are only now capable of handling such levels of data and processing.
