This is such a shame! My family is from the north, kano to be exact, and its just a shame that our country is so rich but so many people are poor. I see alot of people who speak of the northerners like we are all rich but in fact only a handful have money, the majority are poor just lile the southeast. The government are crooks wallahi whether its buhari, atiku, goodluck John. Or whoever, the whole government needs to be reformed and cleared of snakes. I have been living in dubai for 2 years, and what these people have built as a nation in 50years is remarkable and the UAE isn't as half as rich as nigeria. Seriously what are we doing, its madness! We need young energetic, creative minds from all ethnic groups to build a better nigeria. Forget about your ethnicity your NiGERIAN first, one body one mind! It just doesn't make sense that a country is in a state like this. It's 2022 and are brothers are in the bush extracting oil with there bare hands WTF is going on... 2022 and we still have this bullshit boko haram coming in and out of our country stealing and killing people. 2022 and we still dont have stable electricity, hospitals, schools, a functional system that can be trusted by ALL people. Quite expository documentary. They are not novice in this venture. You can see that these guys are graduates with some kind of knowledge into the refining process. Why has it been so difficult for the government to empower and incorporate them with cooperatives of modular refineries so they can be authentic, legal, and pay tax and therefore eliminate/reduce the oil theft been complained? It is a clueless government. They even said it that they are ready to pay tax. Why has this government not made any effort to improve their knowledge and capacity towards providing this service in refined, legalized way? Very salient is the point they made about Kerosene. It is apparently clear that most of the kerosene we see in the market are refined here, because government and NNPC have shown abysmal incapacity to provide kerosene for Nigerians. Rather this government only specializes in destroying and killing without achieving any prosperity for Nigerians. And you see what Peter OBI has been talking about creating jobs by engaging everyone who has something to contribute to Nigeria state. It takes ingenuity to create jobs in modern society and that is why Obi-Datti presidential ticket is special, different and offers brighter future for Nigeria and Nigerians. Vote wisely, Vote #OBI-DATTI come 2023.

This confirms what my friend that is a maritime officer said.... "Most of the fuel you see in the petrol stations are from bunkering "

For diesel thats 100% true, for pms i will say 50% cos lately most bunkering camps dont produce condensate(pms) anymore. Even the kerosene is of low quantity, more like a allowance for their workers.

I hear the government saying our refineries are not working and that when Dangote refinery starts it will supply Nigeria petroleum products and make the products available to Nigerians (I laugh). Because all these are just fabulous stories to enslave Nigerians for life. I had NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY from the Petroleum Training institute, Effurun, but now working as an I.T. Technician in an Organisation. All these refining knowledge are still there but dormant. Let me made it clear that it is only when these local refiners started refining Kerosene that we here in Warri started seeing the availability of Kerosene in every area of the street in Warri and its environs. If not the common masses and locals would have starved from hunger and poverty of not being able to afford burning fuel for domestic cooking. All the kerosene sold in the street of Delta are all locally refined by these refiners. I remember when the legally refined kerosene was sold in Filling station, the products are always scarced and when it arrived filling stations, we see queues for days and struggles in order to afford a cooking fuel. But now that queue is no more because of these local refiners (for the government of Nigeria never wish Nigerian citizens well), for they want to see suffering in the eyes of Nigerians. What about the domestic cooking gas that Nigerian derve into its used, that stop some Nigerians from consuming Kerosenes: when the government and cabals saw that the consumption is at the rise and that Nigerians are now enjoying consuming these Gas products, they started jumping into its supply and manipulating the price and telling us that the cost of importat of gas is rising due to dollars. What gas are they importanting? Refined Natural Gas? These people are out of their sense mentioning these things. So are they telling Nigerians that the abundance of Natural gas in the Deltas and the abundant of Human resources in Nigeria cannot be put together for self production? May God help our us all. Let me put it clear to my brothers and sisters far North and Southwest that if we are decieved to rule out these local refiners and put Dangote refinery at use only in Nigeria, we as Nigerians will still not be able to afford the local products from that refinery, the rich and cabal will still be at the control to manipulate price to enslave Nigerians in the name of 'DOLLAR RISE'. Now not longer these boys venture into desel refining and while desel rose up to 900NGN per litres, Nigerians and even some filling station started diving into these local refined desels, then the government of the day came out with laws to stop the supply and use of these local desels they cannot provide for the masses. They burned down local refineries and even burn down trucks that came from the North to buy these products on the highways. I withness 3 trucks carrying illegal desel being burned down by Soldiers and i was shocked by the explosions on the highway and why should an important products be destroyed (wasted resources) instead of making it useful to the country, we destroy them (a system of modern day slavery). NOTE that the production and refining of these local refinerys has helped Nigerians survival a lot. For most Merchan Caravan trucks from the North, i saw then came to patronise these boys and transport desels to the North and even other parts of the country why our refinery keep refining and supplying our desels and fuel to Niger Rep, Chad, Cameroon and other africa countries in the name of (Diverting products for higher profits as alarm by the govt of the day). I therefore call on all Nigerians to wakeup and standup for the uprightness of our government to seatup and do the needful, we have the manpower, we have the skills, we have the people to make things work again for us all in Nigeria. Let the government legalise these local refinery to produce petroleum products inorder to make these products available for the locals just like as China in the early days legalise the production of Iron and steel to the locals (in their backyard they produce Iron and steel and beat them to shape and supply the market) now china is one of the global supplier of steel products and we wonder why are China steels much more cheaper than any elsewhere in the world.

The last speaker was on point on his suggestion, that government should legalised their business and in turn they should pay tax to the central government. Fuel is always in short supply in the country, documenting and legalising artisans refiners will remedy the situation. I believe to the government they will rather pave way for the bourgeoisies to be importing finished product so that to continue subsidizing the petroleum products.
