This is why I never even tried to make a chess set; anybody can make a pawn, etc. But the knight is something that simple copying from a template CAN NOT produce - it takes an artist! I salute the beauty of his work and I even admire the simple equipment he uses to produce these beautiful pieces!
Thatsright Jack. If you're careful, then there is no reason why you should lose any of your fingers. Only idiots like you would lose fingers on power tools.
Pushes wood against sanding wheel for a few seconds; gets out a "rough" horse shape that's better than I can do in an hour of whittling. What a talent!
Very impressive! I have handled many wooden chess sets, but I did not truly appreciate the amazing care and artistry that goes into making each piece of these elaborate sets. Great work!
Your chess pieces are far superior in material, design, overall shape and style than any others I have seen on the market. I bet they have a great feel and weight to them. Kudos to you all
The unique and original creators of the first version of Chess. A thousand years later and they continue to sharpen the prodigious game that originated in their lands.
@@hanyelrouby8596 Each pawn cost £1000 The King and Queen are £2000 each Bishops are £1500 a piece Knight cost £3000 a piece Rook cost £1800 a piece John Wallace had to sell his family into slavery in order to buy the whole chess set. But it was worth it.
Your skill and dedication to such fine work is very inspiring. As a professional woodworker for over 40 years I thank you for sharing what you do in this short video. It is inspirational and I hope that it expanded your customer base in other parts of the world.
He gives me his secrets and still no way I can do it. What an amazing artist to create such beautiful pieces! It would be a great accomplishment for me to create the board deserving of these pieces sitting on them.
Really good skill, wood and chess sets. Have now purchased three of the 5" Staunton (chessbazaar?) sets in the 5" range and gave two out as gifts. The very best. Hats off to you craftsmen.
I used to do woodcraft with a dremel, but to this is different, to craft these pieces in exactly the same way requires a great deal of skill and patience.
Very lovely chess pieces made with great skill.I have now got a boxwood Staunton set...most probably made by you in the home of chess..India.Thanks for posting and making them.Master craftsmen at work.
Congratulations! The people of India make the most beautiful chess pieces I've ever seen. 👍I have several sets. I'm so happy I found your video. I've scoured you tube for several days hoping to find one showing the craftsmen making the pieces. Keep the great work. You have beautiful and wonderful talent! 👍
I want to tell you that you are the one making the best pieces in the world right now. I hope one day I’ll be able to afford one of your set. Your sets are literally the best sets in the world
This is The Most Beautiful Knight & all the pieces carved to the Perfection, that I ever seen!💐 Paaji aapke paas kamaal ka kalaakaari hain! You are The Master Perfectionist Paaji!💐 Lots of Love, Respect & Greetings to you & your team from My City of Pearls - Hyderabad, Telangana!💐
Beautiful workmanship. Great to see someone else using calipers on a live piece to set the diameter. Exactly how I work with a lathe. Interested to know how you check the scraper profiles after sharpening. Does each sharpening produce a slight variation in sets I wonder so you make sure to sharpen only between sets?
Hermosos productos, maravilloso el caballo, pero coincido conotros comentarios, la seguridad es primero y debe mejorar. Felicitaciones a todos lo que hacen es excepcional.
Absolutely brilliant craftsmanship demonstrated. I salute you sir. Exotic and beautiful pieces. I love the knight though and the work and the effort put into in producing a dominant piece as that one.
You are certainly a modern Michelangelo of the chess creation craft. The fact that each piece is created with human contact and not a CNC machine surely will resonate from the piece to your hand. However, I think my game will suffer as my main focus will be on the beauty of the pieces. While in Spain many years ago I bought a set (wooden, as they should be in my opinion) and thought it was nice - after watching your video I think that set might become firewood after I find and get one of yours! No, I’d better reconsider that firewood thing as I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable actually playing with your set, let alone allowing someone else to handle it. Absolutely fantastic work!!
You, Sir, are a true Artist! When money frees up, I plan on buying 4 sets. One for me and 3 of my boys that love the game of chess. It may be a while though.
Спасибо вам за ваше мастерство! Какая точность! Я узнал некоторые ваши секреты* попробую ими воспользоваться ' ещё раз большое спасибо и удачи вам во всех делах!
I want you to make a chess elephant Can you make a chess elephant and how much does it cost I want four pieces every two in a color to be used in chess
Mr. Saggu’s 90’s Kasparov championship Chavet in distressed boxwood is the beloved relic in my humble dwelling. The hand signed certificate of authenticity is a charming touch.
Hello Mandeep! Thank you for your great skill and focused attention on every detail of each chess piece. I am a recent customer of yours, and I love the chess set you and your craftsmen have made for me. I was admiring the set I received today in the mail, and thought to myself, how can these be made by hand with such precision.. so I went online to see if anyone shows the process, and there you were! You do master level carving! I love the knight on my Alexandrian set, and each of the other pieces as well. I shall enjoy them for years to come. So do you play a lot of chess with your friends there in India? Do you play online or a casual game by email? Thanks again for your craftsmanship!
