Hello friends!!! I apologize for the POOR lighting and quiet audio in this vlog. The venue itself was really dark. And I had just gotten a new camera so it was having trouble picking up the audio when I didn’t use a mic )-:
And sorry for being MIA for the month of January! I had a lot of smaller events, but we return with one of my biggest shows of the year, Megacon!!! It is sooo tiring to do this show, but so worth it haha.

Your booth setup was so good! Also I got to the point where AJ shook the girls hand. It’s a trend on tiktok I believe where they shake hands or ‘dab’ people who they think are attractive!

Thank you! And ohhh, that explains a lot!! We haven't seen the trend so we were so confused LOL. He did say they seemed younger, so I assume it's for a trend for people more of their age haha.

Your booth setup is so cute! If it's not too much trouble, I was wondering where you got your "I'm the Artist" acrylic badge/pin? I've been trying to look into those but I can't seem to find the right keywords or something

Thank u!! I designed mine and got it made with my usual keychain manufacturer. But you can ask any acrylic manufacturer to make it (-: There are also some artists who sells them online! I know @fiveboos_ has some (-:

I use foam board and laminate them! You can use a hot knife to cut them easier, but I just use an exact knife (-:

Sorry if it comes off negative! I know it is a lot of money. I try to be as transparent as possible and never want that to come off as insensitive. As for this situation, that $700 doesn’t even cover the expenses, manufacturing costs, nor the time and labor I put into traveling, making the art, sample production, talking to manufacturers, etc. Hope that makes sense!! I’ll definitely be more careful with the way I word things in the future or just omit numbers. Thanks for your feedback!

you must not vend. you have to consider, travel, hotels, food, manufacturing costs.

@MsMvsc thanks, but I actually do. Just finished my 13th event of the year last weekend. And as someone who does in person events, it's extremely tone deaf to say to your audience that you "only" made $700 in a day. Artist alley tables are extremely lucrative. That's why theyre so competitive to get into. It's not hard for creators to empathize with their audience, especially considering they were in their audiences' position just a few years ago.
