Ahhh thank you for showing love to DPR Ian !!!! fandom name: Dreamers. the members all using ‘DPR + their name’. dprian, Christian Yu, was originally in a kpop group c-clown and after help found DPR. He originally helped direct and edit mvs, but came out with his own stuff couple years ago. Im just so happy you are checking him out and liking his music! He truly is one of my favorite artists his music is so dynamic and deep. He does most of his own directing, editing, producing, instrumentals, and obviously vocals. His 2nd album Moodswings In To Order is arguably my favorite album ever! He makes such cinematic visuals and music. I recommend watching his other stuff in order because a lot of it is connected in part of a bigger storyline. Again thank you !! (Ps. Love the new editing)

I don't normally comment at all on youtube but I have to much knowledge about DPR Ian not to share since you wanna know more;; Apologies for the long message but here we go :: DPR - Dream Perfect Regime DPR was founded by DPR Ian(Christian Yu), DPR Live(Dabin Hong) and DPR Rem(Scott Kim) back in 2014. (they also have another member DPR Cream) DPR's Fandom Name > Dreamers. DPR Ian/Christian Yu is an Australian Korean artist and Founder, Director and Chief Editor for DPR, Before making his own comeback to the music scene he would direct and edit videos for other artists like Loco - Movie Shoot Ikon's Bobby - HOLUP! Winner's Mino - BODY BigBang's Taeyang - WAKE ME UP (and a few DPR Live songs) DPR Ian/Christian Yu use to be in the Kpop group C-Clown under the name "Rome" they debuted in 2012 but disbanded in 2015 In 2020 on October 26th he came back to the music scene with So Beautiful and this is where the flipped "DPR Visuals + Ian" started since he use to be behind the camera but now that he is in front of a camera again its flipped since he is looking at it. And So Beautiful is apart of his first EP called "Moodswings In This Order" or MITO, In all of his music he is talking about his Bipolar + DID, Mito isn't just a character for the music videos He is Ian Like how Mr Insanity is also Ian. Mito Is when Ian is going through his Depressive Lows & Mr Insanity is when Ian is going through his Manic Highs We also got more information recently about this from Ian himself on a Insta Live where Mito is basically his Protector Mito jumps in before Mr Insanity gets to Insane. (he also blacks out when Mito fronts), As someone mentioned it is good to point out The characters represent the very real personalities Ian struggles with during his bipolar and DID episodes. he truly experiences Mr Insanity & Mito in his everyday real life they're not just created for his music. (credit @ladylily for mentioning that) First EP : Moodswings In This Order (2021) Is where we are introduced to Mito for the first time First Album : Moodswings In To Order (2022) This is again a Story about Mito Second EP : Dear Insanity (2023) This is where we meet Mr Insanity for the first time Ian has said before that Mito and Mr Insanity both have different styles of music and you can hear it in "So I Danced" the Strings and Darker sound is Mito (+ the distorted voice) while the Fun Brighter sound is Mr Insanity (though it can still be kinda dark aswell) I think I've covered enough now;; but DPR Ian is such an inspiring and amazing artist I'd highly recommend checking out more of his stuff!. and if you wanna know more he has loads of interviews out there too.

Someone else provided some great information. Additionally, Ian has bipolar and DID. The lyrics typically deal with his struggles with his mental health, ups and downs, and even the medication that sometimes feels like it’s hurting more than helping. The characters represent the very real personalities Ian struggles with during his bipolar and DID episodes. You really need to watch his interviews and Lives. He’s very open about his issues. He’s a beautiful person, inside and out. Not one track is unimportant. Listen to them in order, too! It’s how he tells his story. Dreamers are his fan base, and his fans do our best to help him when he’s had episodes during Lives. 💜

im so glad you reacted to him! dpr ian said that this album's concept was his lucid dreams he had as a kid! i would definitely recommend to watch his other mvs to follow the entire lore behind his mvs

He's bought into the concept because he created it. :D He wrote the lyrics, produced the beat, then wrote the concept for and directed the MV. He's so, SO good.
