Imagine. You, a professional artist, got credited by AI art prompters every single times they upload an image, and in the future all your digital portofolio got burried by a ton of AI art when someone search your art on Google. What a nightmare.
I agree with you! AI art can look impressive but I believe it will also allow us to appreciate human-made art more. Just like I could play music on a plastic instrument. It's alright, nothing wrong with that, but won't beat the sound and feeling a hand made instrument gives. Thanks for the video! (And I do like your art content c: )
Thanks for making this video. Often times I am tricked into thinking an illustrator just draws a character but now it seems like there is more complicated than it actually is. There is a story behind that creation process that is often unnoticed by the untrained eye. I am glad you took the time to explain this concept. I'm a little skeptical of this, it's potentially putting words in alchemaniac's mouth. Namie cuts to important parts much quicker. If you use an artist's work as training data, they explicitly did not consent, and not only did they publicly ask you to stop, but you actually admitted to it and said you'll keep doing it, you have lost every justification the AI peeps have used to defend AI art.
Hey thanks for explaining the situation in layman's terms for me. I get the disrespect from twilled's side but I thought the other side was against AI art entirely. It's like, that's progress, you either go with it or get left behind. But in the end, just because ai's are gonna take all our jobs that doesn't mean we gotta lose our human respect and common decency.
If you want to see cool art of a character you love, there's usually easily found fan art and also, god forbid, asking and paying for a commission if you're that hard up for your waifu. If the artist that you supposedly respect makes a simple request like "don't credit me on AI stuff" it's pretty damn disrespectful to ignore it. AI art will definitely become more of a thing, or at least a tool, in the future, but for now it seems to be used a lot for chasing likes and clout, which just feels dirty.
My only question is, why are these something needed to be educated? Even without professional knowledge of art making and the industry, empathy and maturity alone should be enough to understand the issue! Why are some people so blind and self-centred?! Is it because they have a lack of care for others?! Or perhaps they have zero empathy and maturity despite being alive for so long?! Why are they even allowed to live in our society?! I'm drowning in despair, realising these kinds of ever-aging morons might be the majority of our world's population. Sorry for venting everything here and being so dramatic. I just couldn't believe that people needed to be told about all of this...
Ai is far from replacing actual artists because even if it does perfect its way of making things it still will feel hollow because no living being put the time and effort to make a piece of art
exactly, but as how the business venture goes, i guess we'll just have to wait. i do see an ai game the other week and its just as terrible as it can get 💀
allowed or not ppl will still make them anyway, but ofc alche doesnt allow ppl to use his work for ai, credited and associate themselves with it, which honestly its understandablw
I just find hilarious the amount of hate some AI artist get on twitter over a image of their favorite character, i'm not an artist btw maybe that's the reason.
there is nothing wrong in expressing your love for your fave character with AI, and this is very common at this point especially in genshin community. unless the situation is as bad as TW where they dont respect the original illustrator's request, i think they'll be okay. i dont personally support it but that's not rlly up to me to decide either since everyone have to choose their own choice :p
Ai drawing is Beautiful. But, It's so beautiful that it's Ugly. Yeah like you said, it's emotionless. The illustration they produce always have the same artstyle, and that's what makes it ugly/disturbing. Also the one important things that i don't like about Ai drawing is, they always put extra unnecesary accessories to the character.
One way to describe AI art is that, they look "correct", but not good. It's kinda like the mangaka in that sailor moon episode who keeps getting rejected for her design. Perfect technique is not everything, and it is the case for many AI art (and new artists). People say thay we'fe gatekeeping and bad mouthing. Deluded, thinking that these drawing don't look artistic, but the reality is, they really don't.
In 3d side of art The corridor actualy use the AI in the right way as a tool than rely it too much and even that you still can notice some error from their animation using the AI. Also on a side note : If AI can actualy replace artist that would mean even AI can replace doctor or even Virology which could lead to disaster straigh up biohazard war, fortunately we are way far from that.
idk abt doctor tho bcs u need 7 years of education to become a doctor (my sister is a doctor herself). even if it goes like that, it will probably take years to most likely never, but we'll just have to wait and pray thats not the case 😔
@@Nekogitsune 7 years means nothing to AI.. they will have cameras, millions of data (xrays, past cases) and diagnostic tools built in them. At most doctors will be human interface but 90% of their job will be done and finished by highly accurate AI. So humans will still prefer doctors.
"A.I artist" when they basically put a commission on an computer and claim that it's their work. Are they worse than tracers? For some yes, for some they're on par. Either way, they both dance on someone else's sweat and blood
You know, I read some comments on YT vids that discuss about this thing. One of them said R18 art made by AI didn't have emotions and feelings. Let me be honest, that's one of the craziest but logic thing I've ever read because AI can't get horny.
I'm sure many of us have already awakened the ability to tell if an illustration is AI or not just by looking at it. AI art just feels bland, colourless and soulless. I have played around with Stable Diffusion for a bit so I can understand how it might seem rather impressive at first; especially since I can't draw to save my life. But once the magic of excitement from playing with a new toy disappears, you realise how much AI pales in comparison to real artists. There is indeed value in AI as an assistive tool for artists; but I think that's all it will remain for the foreseeable future unless AI drastically improves it's abilities.
Honestly, i liked the CSP approach using 3D to model the basic pose then we can draw on top of it. Now after making a sketch out of it, i wish the AI came in sorta an auto correct. Or even helping making the rough sketch from the 3D model using vectors, so we can skew or scretch the vector to make adjustments.
i feel like this is what AI shouldve been from the start tho. i havent tried my AI on csp tho but might as well try it later. not that i against ai to make art to begin with but with how ppl claim it as 'their own' n some got angry by ppl 'stole' their 'art' is beyond me 😔

Got my own old art stolen twice in dArt during long hiatus and it was really stressing. Good thing that there some people who went out of their way to track my account down and dm me that someone's been taking cookies in my jar and reported the other party. Seeing AI art does better than I have when I first saw them got me pretty jealous but in a way I knew by heart it can't properly flesh out what the artist or illustrator is conveying. Sure it can create really pretty stuff but it doesn't have any foundation just as how start of with a rough sketch to linearts then the colors to give it life. This thing just takes a peek at something saws it off then stitches it over another thing,pretty much trying to perfect it's own Frankenstein. Anyways really thanks for the vid tho!!

I think both parties are wrong. AI take the work from other artist n the artist redraw the same thing from AI. Unless u reference most part from AI created then thats not a big deal but flat out redraw is a no go
The only time I've ever fiddled around with anything AI related outside of Videogames is AI generated quotes. Only got interested in it because of a video on it but I got some decent ones out of it. Even 1 or 2 made it to pfp status for me. Though as far as ik, the images are stock images. This happened in 2018-2019 for me.🤔
In my Main account, I followed different kinds of artists, and seeing different kinds of art is really refreshing my timeline is very colorful somehow, and I create a new account and follow all AI things because it seems this might probably be the future of artists. Yup, they are good and good quality but somehow the feeling is not quite right, I'm kinda in the Factory of one brand that produces the same thing and with many branches, they are all the same. All Real Artist Make different Art to make a colorful place And Ai makes Art like products no wonder they call it a soulless place. If this is the Path of the Art yup it is really doomed.
I feel like the purpose of Ai is not to help human,but to take over every job in existence. Also i feel like if we relying to much on Ai or one day Ai can do everything,human going to lose some important basic skill,imagine a fully automated world where human can live comfortably without moving a finger,Ai can do everything,programmer,doctor,engineer,chef,etc. What are we gonna do if one massive natural disaster destroy all the world infrastructure? if that happen today there will be chaos but humanity still can survive,but if that happen in a world i describe we all going to die immediately
"Humans" won't be able to afford that, you will always need the rabble to mine the dangerous material needed to power your comfort technology, the only ones who will have your scenario are the rich, but at that point how is that any different from now? After all we already have the technology to safely mine materials like Lithium and cobalt etc, and still corpos throw poor Africans at the mines because the rich don't value the poor, just like you will happily support said corpos with no care for the insane human suffering.

I used to be a visual artist and TW pisses me off. I'm a professional translator, and he doubly pisses me off. As an LGBTQIA+ person? I want his ISP to unplug him. From the perspective of an artist... I don't call "AI art" art, just AI-generated images. Art is not just the product, but the process, the ideas of the artist (and their client, if commissioned), the methods, the work put in, the discarded drafts and sketches as you mentioned, even the constant frustration and desire to get THIS ONE LINE JUST RIGHT. When you draw, you put emotion into it, and it eventually reflects into the piece-- and sometimes it's the other way around, whatever emotion you're trying to convey is reflected back onto you as you work on it. It's the people what makes art what it is. Before all the theft really ramped up and the grifters went to town, I considered using Midjourney for landscape references, especially fantasy worlds for TTRPG sessions but given how much of the product comes from stolen art, I can't in good conscience use it. I was also considering digging out my art tablet and getting back into visual art, but I'm too thin-skinned to withstand the AI masses. I'm a horror fan too, and a lot of tropes you see in AI stuff are very common in horror. Extra teeth and hands, messed-up eyeballs, weird anatomy, body horror... except AI grosses me out rather than fascinates me because these were not intentional, and horror has a reason for making ordinary things look weird or creepy, even if it's just to scare the viewer. Also please don't call your work bad. I know you're your own worst critic, but I enjoy looking at them, and other people enjoy them.
yeah it is technically generated images but with how ppl perceives 'art' lately, i guess the definition starts to shift 😔 kinda pissed sometimes when pixiv 'artists' caption their work as their own when its clearly made by ai 😭 also thanks a lot for ur compliment. im just a bit hard on myself xD
@@Nekogitsune At the very least some groups are starting to recognize that AI stuff isn't what they want, like that one time where a company rejected an AI-written story and defined that they wanted works written by humans, or the AI lawyer's owner who is currently getting sued for... attempting to push his AI lawyer agenda. We just need more people like that to step up everywhere else, especially in digital art.
@@wildtrapinch An AI Lawyer is the only way to get cheap services especially for busywork that as of now require you to pay exorbitant amounts to a Lawyer. If you look at the services that were offered you will find that the suite is brought on bogus grounds that have nothing to do with the quality of the service, arguably if you look into it you will see that the services were superior and more importantly affordable, after all do you think most people are rich enough to be able to afford a lawyer for a simple speeding ticket?

As an artist myself, I'd like to see more art related videos. Maybe you can incorporate your arknights content with something art related. On the topic of A.I "art" I've come to terms with it but I still dislike the practice. It probably will replace artists in the industry itself which really sucks but all we can do is hope independent and free Lance artists will still be able to make a living
