Karl Elnas rape accusations which dropped him from the band. Started a bunch of accusations which got them dropped from their label but they seem to still be doing alright
Josh Dinsdale i still feel like he was falsely accused of sexual assault... looking into it, it just seems like the first girl regretted a decision that she made when she was drunk and the rest of the accusations are baseless. she even released text messages from the day after and Phil seemed concerned about the whole thing and asked her to call him about it if she wanted to talk. i think they were both just drunk and when she regretted it after the fact she made Phil look like an aggressor. i would never want to shame a sexual assault victim and call them the bad guy, but i genuinely believe that Phil is innocent...
@@rafeek6730 same feelings. But he is in a new band now called "Saturday Camp" his music is also soothing. Sad, they shouldn't have dropped Phil. he is one of the original members of summer salt
@@barrymccoquner5934 I looked into it as well, and it's more than just that. Reading through the accusations from several women against Phil Baier, it seems like he has a pattern of using his position of power to make unwanted advances toward female fans, and saying/doing inappropriate stuff. It's disappointing and disheartening because he seemed like a nice and quirky guy on the surface. Scroll down to the article by Sarah Harwell here which describes two of the 7 total allegations against the band (the infamous google doc has since been deleted): beyondthecommonsmagazine.com/social-issues Anyway, it seems Summer Salt has recovered from having to fire Phil which is probably a difficult situation for any band, and I'm glad they are still making music. Wishing them all the best.
