@@Haliebug Depends, If you have a weird hive-mind the individual numbers are to differentiate time, or function So a drone in that hive would be an Instance of SCP-***-1 as would some poor sap who got turned into a maggot. If they are different people its for who's been attached to it or when So SCP-***-1 would either be the first person stuck or the first person met. If its iffy, its just an Identifier so that weird shadow guy is SCP-***-2 because weird light guy already exists. Sometimes in situations similiar to what I think he means the "vampires" would just be SCP-***-1 to refer to the entity that is inside the room. If you could talk to and identify them it would be SCP-***-1 through however many different vampires are in there, and if the room had different "settings" it might be SCP-***-1-A but at that point it may be simpler to make an unknowable eldritch horror.
