They just killed the stock photo business.

Dall-e 2 uses a rather weak language model - there are far, far better ones already. Future versions will understand prompts much, much better, and not make the mistakes about limbs, and will be much easier to use, requiring less-educated prompting.

This is still very early AI. It will be far better than all but the most unique and incredible artist. I’m not sure if that will be good or bad. We shall see.

AI will someday be a good thing in many fields. But before that happens there will be major problems.

People already attempting to sell their AI creations which is a weird grey area

isn't taking "inspiration" from ai just stealing from it ... which people are arguing that ai shouldn't do but it's fine when humans do it

Amazing and terrifying at the same time. This should be limited and have some type of licensure or disclaimer about legal ramifications if you manipulate it or create images to cause fraud, harm, spread misinformation, defame character or something. I can see this getting into the wrong hands or used for the wrong reasons and causing serious damage

For now human artists can still work as retouchers at least until they perfect the AI to the point where it won’t be necessary. At the speed things are going it will take 5 years or less before they perfect it

Yeah this could be used to enhance the drawing and be used a blueprint

Mind blown! What a time saver this would be for all artists doing designs in almost every medium. I do think I was born in the wrong generation. This excites me as much as I was excited in writing my own video games and saving to cassette tapes. Think early 80’s. ❤❤❤

I've seen some mind-bending videos on 3-d printing and we're not far off being able to do that commercially - my car mechanic friend is super hyped about that for old cars. Anyway - i cannot draw, at all - just not in my skillset, but if I want to make a picture from the depths of my imagination, I can and that's super exciting as a way to express myself - even if it's just for nerd-crap like D&D. Hell, maybe not so far in the future I can remake Lord of the Rings in the style of Quentin Tarantino. We're on the brink of self-destruction (again), but dammit - we could use this tech to stop people being hungry, or sick or cold.

This is absolutely amazing and terrifying at the same time. I can't imagine right now all the ways someone could use this in a malicious way because, thank the Lord, my mind doesn't work that way. But I do know that with any new technology, there is always going to be people who develop ways to use it for evil.

Wow it’s was crazy to watch this video 11 months after posted. I watched on your other channel about AI art and it was the first time I heard of such thing. Now so many things have change and there’s a crazy race of websites competing to do images, apps that do realistic photoshoots. I am a photographer and have seen product photographers say they jobs are now a third compared to last year. I don’t dare to say photographers will lose their jobs but the way we do work and the areas we will be needed will change. My favourite area is portraits for adults, and my guess is that the client list will be reduced just for the people who really understand the art. And I say guess because I am on a pause since my daughter is too young and need me for now. Weddings and all sorts of family photos I can’t picture disappearing, but comercial photography for small business I think will be gone. When I look on Pinterest I see more art that looks like AI than human ones. And if we can’t beat it, we better be part of it. It’s scary at first as you say, but I still believe things will mold to the new reality at ways we don’t always predict. The argument you said about doing the prompt well is already a job! This era is a transformation I couldn’t dream. We thought that being poetic and creating art would be the last thing artificial intelligence would do, but is now reality. I love your work Sarah! Thank you for sharing so much.

little things I've worked out from messing around with AI Art, each Seed is like asking a different artist to do what prompts you put in, so you can repeat a style by using the same seed, also, it's like it uses a Thesaurus, so if you exclude Water, it might do Liquid or Fluid instead, but the reverse works if you want to add more of something

I know those may sound crazy(which it is), but these are photos taken from another universe.
