I am a huge fan of the star wars extended universe and the Thrawn trilogy. that does not mean everything is flawless. In some ways I'm happy for the soft reset cuz we no longer have to deal with Chewy being killed by having a moon dropped on his head or jaba's father building a third deathstar but only using space monkeys as engineers.

I just came from the Yugioh video and him trying to describe the fairy one was hilarious. "Have you ever see The Strangers?" Just as a quick FYI Bowcasters use a metal quarrel (aka small dart) that is wrapped in a plasma sheath and the arms of the Bowcasters are magnets used to accelerate the plasma coated quarrel at high velocity.

Ok so I know this vid is 3 years old but I just thought I'd give an explanation of blasters/bowcasters bc I think it's cool: blaster bolts are plasma, which is basically the next state of matter up from gas (so you have solid to liquid, liquid to gas, and gas to plasma. I mean, you can go from solid to gas and vice versa, but this is typically what happens). It's actually compressed tibanna gas (from Cloud City and other similar places). When gas is compressed enough, it theoretically will ionize it and turn it into plasma. Usually, though, gas ionizes into plasma at very high temperatures. Compressing gas probably could also turn it into a supercritical fluid, but I'm not sure. (Supercritical fluid is another state of matter that is kind of both a liquid and a gas as well as neither of them.) Blaster bolts could also be lasers, but I think the plasma theory is cooler tbh. I think the photonic molecule theory might also work, but that's mostly for lightsabers. Photonic molecules are yet another state of matter, but I'm not sure if they actually exist-- they might just be theoretical. By the way, if your HS science teacher ever told you that there are only 3 states of matter, they lied. There are waaaay more than three. We just usually only see the big four (solid, liquid, gas, and plasma-- the sun is made of plasma so that's why I included it).

I KNOW HOW BOW CASTERS WORK! If memory serves, the bow caster actually fires projectiles surrounded by gasses so they look like lasers. The little ball things at the ends of the bow are magnets that pull the projectile to the front of the weapon from where momentum carries the bullet.

It’s KrrSANTAN, hence “Santy.” No nerd rage here, just laughing at how nonsensical the nickname seemed in the video lol

The Bowcaster is actually really interesting tho. The two orbs on the sides are polarizing, so they create a magnetic field that pushes the ammo, called a quarrel, forward at extremely high speeds. The quarrel was traditionally a rod of metal surrounded by plasma energy. They're a lot more powerful than a traditional blaster, but they're also much heavier. Humans have a lot of trouble carrying them around, not to mention actually holding it steady to get a descent shot. However Han Solo proved a human could use one efficiently multiple times during the Cold War. TL;DR, it's a super space rail-gun that works cause magnets.

5:32 Blue light sabers are a lot more common, pretty much most Jedi have blue light sabers, green light sabers are a lot more rare, and are usually used by Masters or just really strong Jedi in general

Wookies definitely style there fur. Chewbacca went through that phase in Empire where he parted his hair in the middle, but he's combing it all straight back these days like he was in A New Hope

Bowcasters don't shoot lasers. It's actually super heated metal pikes. That are launched out with the electromagnets that are on either side of the bowcaster.

A bow caster is a slugthrower (Aka something that shoots slugs, or bullets, rather than lasers) that charges the bullet so it looks and act like a laser, but has mass, because science!
