In February of this year, CMLC, Arts Commons and The City of Calgary announced KPMB Architects, Tawaw Architecture Collective Inc., Hindle Architects and SLA as the prime design team that would lead the design of the expansion and modernization of Arts Commons, one of Canada’s largest and most vibrant arts centres, through the Arts Commons Transformation (ACT) project.
Since the announcement, the prime design team has been hard at work developing the functional plan for the expansion, a new building and theatre space situated just across Stephen Avenue from the existing Arts Commons facility, which is anticipated to break ground in 2024.
