100% agree. We have a kid at my gym. When he is punching everyone hears his punches. When he connects people get dropped or get bloody noses. The punches just sound different then other boxers. We have an other kid who just grunts , screams and who is sharp and fast but it's all show. Only mid range power but as you said you can hear the power.

Have a look at the odds against Smith, pathetic :) Not taking anything away of his qualities or achievements but it seems to make the fanboys think he is some kind of unbeatable boxing God. He really has vulnerabilities & I think he hasn't met very good opposition in the pros yet. There could be an exception once in 10 years but we wouldn’t consider that as norm. Norm is what happened in 9 fights out of 10 not one random fight. Experience is very important at the highest level. Thats what helps athletes get the better of opponents. And when I say experience I am talking about 2 great guys, one with experience and the other with less experience.

Realize that Beterbiev isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The reason why you guys think “30+” is when guys are on their way out are because of undisciplined fighters.
