Hello, love it. I have had my drumbrute impact for a week and just got the monologue today. Please can you advise how you linked them up? Midi from drumbrute to monologue or other way round? Both audio outputs into mixer? Please help. Thanks
Thanks! For this setup, I just had the Drumbrute sending analog clock to the Monologue via a 3.5mm cable (though using midi would also work). Both of their audio outputs went straight into my audio interface and were recorded into separate mono channels. Hope this helps!
Drumbrute and it's Impact sibling are both super limited sound wise and I believe the impact has a manufacturer issue with the clap and snare. There are videos that go into detail on those issues and how to fix them. Personally I'd save up money for something way more flexible with sound design. For the cheap Volca Drum but for a higher price point Vermona drm1. You'll be way more satisfied. I'm not knocking the Arturia drum machines. They are decent but the ball was dropped in more than a few areas in the their creation.
I am new to electronic music, but it looks like the monologue is connected to an input in the front of your audio interface while the impact is connected to the other front input on the interface and then the interface is plugged into the powered speakers for sound? But what device is the master and is there any menu settings you have to go through to set this up? Thanks.
Hey mate. Pretty sure I paid low $400s for mine a few months back - Billy Hydes. Find the best price on the web, then get your favorite music store to match it!
I have both of these units in my arsenal of too many guitars, pedals, synths and drum machines. This has inspired me to play these two together. Again, awesome jam mate!
I just connected the sync output of the Drumbrute to the sync input on the Monologue. Super simple! Just make sure that the Drumbrute is using its internal clock and the Monologue is listening through the sync port instead of MIDI or USB.
