The function knob is actually for the different tubes from the original unit. Focusing on odd and even harmonic excitation. Not an intensity knob more a flavour knob. Great video btw :)
I grabbed Efx Fragments and Tape Mello when they were available as freebies. I still upgraded for the extra two though as Arturia offered a very good deal to upgrade. Great suite of FX.
After years of wanting to get their FX collection, I finally bought it after getting a great discount price. The EFX fragments is awesome! It’s kind of like the granular synthesis within pigments, but will be great for sources outside pigments.
@@csn-audio I just commented (on my own comment): f you own V-Collection 9 (and if not: may I ask why? It's an incredible deal at this stage), it's just € 99 now.
Super happy there’s a proper alternative to protools sansamp which is widely used by one of my favorite mixers for everything. I’m glad Arturia filled that gap. There is a free plugin that gets a feeling of sansamp but it does not get close to the quality of opamp21. And then I got a super crossgrade deal of 99€ which I could not pass even though I only intend to use a handful of the plugins.
EFX Fragments is like Output Portal. Dist Tube Culture's distortion is part of Soundtoys Decapitor: Style T Dist OpAmp-21 is where it gets interesting, since out of my top I don't know which other plugin does that. Don't know a plugin the Mellofies either. Anyhow, worth noting: all plugins are NKS-compatible - even though Arturia makes their own usb-keyboards. Introductory price for millions of people: € 299. That's € 11,50 per effect. I'm gonna watch videos on the other 22 effects now...
Sidenote: if you own V-Collection 9 (as I do), for a little less than a week longer you can get it for a mere € 99 (!). That's < € 4 per effect. Hmm. For that little money it's not quite a no-brainer, but let's call it a little-brainer :). Probably will pick this up somewhere in the next few days.
@@PendelSteven at $150 would you say it’s worth it? I’ve already got a few Brainworx plugins and Izotope’s Music Production Suite but not many analog compressors / FX
