Ha! Correct, they must pass the Meady test. We need a T-shirt with pic-art of a MIDI plug head-on, like a smiley face, the pins are it's toothy smile - 'Say MIDI' is printed underneath.
i've had the keystep for like a year and a half and never cared to learn more about it, thought i wouldn't be able to figure it out; thanks for the video, it's been really useful!
This is very useful, thanks! I followed your instructions and connect the appropriate cables, but I'm not able to make it work. Can you tell me what are the Sync source settings you used? I believe this would be set to "Interface"?
I need help, PLEASE I can not get the KEystep to respond to the Roland, aira Campact S-1 I have tried almost every combination I can think of ,and still nothing, I even bought a Type A and a TypeB Midi connecter. PLease help Thanks !
Hey I know this is 3 months old, and you have likely found a solution, but figured I'd throw on here that the S1 is automatically set to midi channel 3. If you set the Keystep to that, you should be set. Worked great for me.
Thanks and it’s really helpful for a beginner like me! I have one question: if we connect keystep to two synths with 2 midi. When I start sequence the sound goes through both, right? Then depending on the play keyboard channel the live notes will only go through 1 synth?
No. The keystep plays all the synths that are on the chosen midi channel. So if you’re synths are both set to midi channel 1 they’ll play together. If they are set to midi channel 1 and 2 they’ll play respectively when you put the Arthuria to that midi channel. If you press play the sequencers of you’re synths will play. So the sequences stored in Both devices. If you press kbd play those sequences will keep on playing and you’ll play on the synth which channel is chosen on the keystep.
