Can't you just connect a full size (keys) midi-controller keyboard to the MiniFreak/MicroFreak and play it remotely that way? MIDI in/out/thru ports are on the back
Glad I discovered your channel! I really like your playing, patching and enthusiastic but calm style of presenting. (The voice and the accent also help, you lucked out there.)
Amazing video, some beautiful jams in there. Went for the Hydrasynth Explorer instead of this and bought the VST version. I think if there hadn’t been a VST I would have got it.
Thank you! I also have the hydra synth explorer. The HD is deeper I think… much more sound design possibilities ~ but no sequencer 😮. The MF is better at live performance type stuff. Both fantastic synths.
Preset starting at 14:25 is really cool! Could you provide more details on how you achieve to have like bass and melody with the minifreak at the same time? Btw your videos are always amazing!
I wish everybody wouldn't demonstrate the new effect just with a saw wave, i know that's the effect's classical or typical use but the minifreak is great for being creative and doing new things. We all know what a unison saw sounds like already.
Im willing to bet people are inclined to do this because it makes it easy to hear what the effect is actually doing, kinda like why most just do this with pedals
I just found your channel and love all the Minifreak content. Do you happen to know if the super unison algorithm is the same one from Pigments? Can't wait to get home and try the update, thanks for the detailed videos!
Im trying to decide whether yo get v collection x or minifreak hardware. Besides bass synth i cant hear a difference between soft synth snd hardware. Either tons of vsts synths or 1 hardware synth with analogue filters. Cant decide.
It could come down to what’s gonna be more productive for you. Do you prefer working with hardware or software? If your compositions typically involve a lot of VSTs then the V collection is pretty unbeatable. If you prefer hardware jamming with sequences and getting hands on then the MiniFreak is a lot of fun!
@@marander512 you like the hydra sound more than minifreak?I have a hydrasynth love it. Problem is i dont find myself reaching for it much as i spend to much time on modular and grooveboxes nowadays.
@@marander512 oh alright makes sense. Ya hydrasynth is an empty palette and the sound design possibilities are very in depth. Can take a long time to come up with an in depth patch.
