I keep holding out in the hope Arturia will produce/ release a 61 key version. You know, full size keys.

Yeaaa it’s not ideal for people who can actually play!

Can't you just connect a full size (keys) midi-controller keyboard to the MiniFreak/MicroFreak and play it remotely that way? MIDI in/out/thru ports are on the back

Glad I discovered your channel! I really like your playing, patching and enthusiastic but calm style of presenting. (The voice and the accent also help, you lucked out there.)

17:44. That ARP with the string is incredible. And composition is really lovely. If you release jam 3 as a song I would listen.

Amazing video, some beautiful jams in there. Went for the Hydrasynth Explorer instead of this and bought the VST version. I think if there hadn’t been a VST I would have got it.

Thank you! I also have the hydra synth explorer. The HD is deeper I think… much more sound design possibilities ~ but no sequencer 😮. The MF is better at live performance type stuff. Both fantastic synths.

Preset starting at 14:25 is really cool! Could you provide more details on how you achieve to have like bass and melody with the minifreak at the same time? Btw your videos are always amazing!
@TheUnperson
@TheUnperson 9 месяцев назад
thank you! I think it's just that the sequence has low and high notes. I keep bringing the bass notes back inbetween the melody line :)

I wish everybody wouldn't demonstrate the new effect just with a saw wave, i know that's the effect's classical or typical use but the minifreak is great for being creative and doing new things. We all know what a unison saw sounds like already.
@rayquazapasta6272
@rayquazapasta6272 8 месяцев назад
Im willing to bet people are inclined to do this because it makes it easy to hear what the effect is actually doing, kinda like why most just do this with pedals
@TheUnperson
@TheUnperson 8 месяцев назад
I did use it in the patch demonstrations later in the video too with different oscillators :)

I just found your channel and love all the Minifreak content. Do you happen to know if the super unison algorithm is the same one from Pigments? Can't wait to get home and try the update, thanks for the detailed videos!

Thanks for the kind words! I’m not too familiar with Pigments, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s similar :)

Your RU-vid content is awesome. I think you could also make a killing narrating audiobooks. Anyone else agree?

Im trying to decide whether yo get v collection x or minifreak hardware. Besides bass synth i cant hear a difference between soft synth snd hardware. Either tons of vsts synths or 1 hardware synth with analogue filters. Cant decide.
@TheUnperson
@TheUnperson 9 месяцев назад
It could come down to what’s gonna be more productive for you. Do you prefer working with hardware or software? If your compositions typically involve a lot of VSTs then the V collection is pretty unbeatable. If you prefer hardware jamming with sequences and getting hands on then the MiniFreak is a lot of fun!

@@marander512 you like the hydra sound more than minifreak?I have a hydrasynth love it. Problem is i dont find myself reaching for it much as i spend to much time on modular and grooveboxes nowadays.
@TheUnperson

I have the hydra synth explorer and love how it sounds. It’s crazy deep but I wish so much that it had a sequencer!
@joeymc5272
@joeymc5272 9 месяцев назад
@@marander512 oh alright makes sense. Ya hydrasynth is an empty palette and the sound design possibilities are very in depth. Can take a long time to come up with an in depth patch.

@@TheUnperson dude you have no idea. That is the only gripe i have with the hydra otherwise its perfect for me anyway.
