Artwork, 2004. By Richard Tipping. Walsh Bay Sculpture Walk - Stop 2 

'Artwork' is a work by Australian artist Richard Tipping, who is well known for creating works that play with public signage. This time he has reworked familiar Australian black and yellow roadwork signs. 'Artwork' consists of two identical bright yellow removable road signs. The two signs have been tied to posts along Hickson Road approximately 15 metres away from either side of the roundabout close to Pier 2/3.
The Walsh Bay Sculpture Walk is an outdoor exhibition of sculptures created by Transfield and located around Walsh Bay, just west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Walsh Bay is a fusion of urban living just a short stroll from the heart of Sydney. This cultural precinct mixes a rich history with vibrant creativity and panoramic harbour views. Maritime wharves have been converted to stylish apartments whilst others house performing arts venues, theatres, restaurants and cafes.
