Arty Parties - Day 1 

Day 1 of Arty Parties kicked off with a drawing workshop led by artist Jacob V Joyce, where the children imagined their dream school. Through the narrative of aliens visiting their planet, the children were asked to question how their school could be made more welcoming and inclusive.
Arty Parties is an interdisciplinary arts project in Artsadmin’s neighbouring school, about seeing the world in different ways and celebrating difference.
Tarik Elmoutawakil spent a week in February 2022 working alongside artists Ella Golt, Jacob V Joyce and Rudy Loewe to activate Arty Parties, a project with the children of Canon Barnett Primary School in Aldgate East.
Arty Parties is created with the support from Create To Connect, Create to Impact through the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, and Arts Council England.
