As to Oct, there just a few small patches in this route. Otherwise it's nearly completed. By end of 2024 it's a great area to ride. However, avoid during the monsoon. There are too many landslides, specially with the freshly cut road, it's too dangerous. Will take a few years for the soil to settle.
Hii, I am planning to travel through this road, from Ziro to Aalo via Daporijo during end of November. How is the road condition now to travel in a car??? Kindly share some insights.
@@dtictactoe Hey, while traveling from Ziro, till Raga the road is good, nearly completed. Thereafter, work is on multiple culverts and bridges are one (approx 80 km of under construction or old roads). Then, 2-3 km before Daporijo it's good roads. From Daporijo to Dibak (just before Dumporijo) the road is non existent (approx 9 km) but easily drivable even with a hatchback. Autoriskshaws are plying on these roads. :P Basically road work not being done till the new concrete bridge over the Subansiri is completed From Dibak to Aalo there are only 4-5 small patches (100-200 m) where work is on. You can reach Aalo from Dapo in about 5-6 hours. I have recently travelled to Aalo 2-3 times in last 2 weeks. As such you'll be travelling in the dry months. No chances of landslides. Plus, the construction companies are working pretty fast, day and night. Every week there is new roads with fresh tarmac. I'm easily hitting 40-50 kmph on my road bicycle. So you can imagine how good the roads are. Hope you have a good trip.
