I love how two people who are non-native speakers wield the English language in conversation in a way a native speaker would not. They bring so many beautiful facets of speech to light. Two humble, masterful people!
This is one of the most touching & wonderful of interviews. It is so inspiring it makes me feel quite emotional. Bjork is so observant & Arvo is so appreciative. Very special.
let me laugh about this bjork not being prentious and arrogant when she was young?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH check how many minuites we have to wait and hear her divagations until Arvo part can talk without interruptions. Also her question are all about her an her thoughts about music, not directed really to arvo part. Sorry but she is a narcisistic self centered person
@@KIWI-un8fs Art is not meant to be treated objectively. Asking Arvo what he does with his art is irrelevant. The magic happens in the eye of the beholder, the audience and their feelings ABOUT the art is what matters, not the art piece itself. Are you angry that you can't be as open and honest as Bjork?
I find this interview so fascinating because whilst the putative subject is music composition, it touches upon what I believe to be a fundamental question for sentient beings: "what can be forgiven?"
Bjork - one of my favourite musicians EVER. I've been inspired many times when painting my mountain and landscape expressive mixed media work for sure - it's the 'space' in her fabulous music and great to see her in conversation her with someone else she her self admires. Brilliant!
PURITY...SPACE...UNIVERSAL ECSTASY IN ART EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE....YOU ARE FREE TO CHOOSE....SOUND CAN CREATE OR KILL LIFE MUSIC HAS SINS AND FORGIVENESS...
The quality of "space" in Part's music discussed in the interview provides a way of grasping the void between music and the listener as well as how music should reflect self and respect the other. Is this not a form of charity, a love that fortifies another in the secrecy of their own being, their own integrity, their own contemplation of (God),and their own free charity?
Thank you for uploading this video. I am really interested in finding out where does it come from. Is it from a complete documentary or what? And if it is so, what is the name of that documentary. Thanks again.
