The main USP of legendary music director duo Shankar Jaikishan was that all songs of their album became instantly hit,this was the rarest of rare virtues any composer could posses but they were blessed by God Grace and this particular film is a great example of it. Another USP was their compositions were so catchy and liked by masses and classes equally.in addition to that be their orchestra arrangements,creation of preludes and Interludes,use of chorus , back ground score,title songs or theme songs shankar Jaikishan were the Trend setters in all respect.shankar Jaikishan were indeed miles ahead of their contemporaries in all the department of music.unki baat hi alag thi aur unka andaz bhi juda tha rather in short I must say that the whole team of shankar Jaikishan was simply superb and genius to the core ,the music composers duo were par excellence who said to have devine touch in their composition.

While, no doubt, there is the magic of Rafi and Lata's voices with Shanker-Jaikeshen music, we must not forget the fantastic photography/videography! For a 1965 movie, the visual presentation is really outstanding, and adds charm to the magical vocals and music! And, of course, the heaven-on-earth Kashmir! My daily prayer is that I hope God guides us to an equitable solution to Kashmir, that it may become a happy home for ALL Kashmiris of all faiths!

Completely agreed. The entire fil has excellent cinematography and colour processing. Songs were picturised to bring out the poetry of lyrics and the melody of music. We see a parallel in Suraj too.

Shankar jaikishan and Lataji peaked during this film. After this film, their carrier started to go south. Scintillating music by SJ and one of the greatest songs of Lataji, Aji rooth kar. Look at the improvisation of rock n roll in the last song. WOW

All time Great composers Shankar Jaikishan's one more beautiful musical album.It is learnt that Jaikishanji from SJ duo demanded Rs.5 lacs as their fees for this film and the producer Shri Ramanand Sagar paid that amount to them.SJ were highest paid music directors in film industry till untimely death of versatile Jaikishan ji in 1971.
