Never thought about it but back when all my friends were o.d’ing and I was focusing on guitar and trying to get off probation and not go back to jail ABRB was a huge part of what kept me from spiraling
It really was, Bands like Shadow of Intent and Lorna Shore are peak of whatever new wave of Deathcore we're experiencing, rightfully so, but ABRB is like, hold my beer.
This sounds a little more melodic and and refined to me, like they've mastered their tone and all agreed upon the sound (as well as recording quality). But yeah still Hester Prynne vibes for sure. I'm stoked for something new to come out.
This is literally perfect and exactly what I’d hoped for. I miss those melodic deathcore riffs so much, they practically don’t exist anymore in new bands. Please keeps us with some old school juice
Yes yes and yes! Those melodic guitar riffs they have on legends never die are what made that album stand out so much, even to this day its my top dearhcore album.

This band like last band standing in their genre. I miss this sound, as if they never left. There aren't many bands that use these riffs, most of them turn to djent tone and too boring in my opinion. There is a need for bands that continue such an old school. Oh man, I miss this band.
Check out the bands Parius and We Are Beasts, and there's plenty of great underground acts keeping the style going but it certainly is the minority compared to the inferior "djent" scene now I agree. Glad these guys are back at it.

I literally just said the same thing! This has that Allegiance sound i initially fell in love with. This sound needs to make a comeback. I love deathcore but its getting saturated with no melodies like this . This melodic death metal is the best
“Here’s an idea we have”… Literally an entire song (minus vocals). Sounds sick! Y’all were a huge influence on me and were one of the bands who got me into metal back in the Allegiance days, good to know you’re still makin tunes and that they’re sick as hell!
Melodic riffs, harmonic minor, drop tunning, tremolos, breakdowns, triplet rhytmics - I'm in! Glad to hear more songs from ABRB. Definitely would like to hear some raw demos, like pre Instinct demos and their song Before the Break of Dawn. And of course interested to hear the album.
I love the old school deathcore riffage, there's something about this that sounds a bit more refined compared to older work that I like. Love to see more content!
I have genuinely been waiting for throwback deathcore like this boys, no more of that aggrandized, theatrical super slam just trying to sound as heavy as possible for the sake of being heavy. For the record, when I was a kid, ABRB was very popular in my little town in AZ, most of the local scene took influence from your band. So glad to see you making a comeback!
With my AZ band I would always play My Fears Have Become Phobias for sound checking my guitar, and no matter what, someone in the crowd would always pop off. I loved it.
10+ years later I still play allegiance everyday when I hit the gym. That album truly encapsulated that era , from the album art to the track list that’s impossible to skip a track And leche man fucking legend sad I don’t normally remember individual band members but leche is a goat I’m glad he’s still around . I know the sound will naturally evolve but I still gotta thank y’all for producing such a vital piece to the scene . Hope y’all see this & know you’ve done something timeless
Deathcore has evolved alot in the past 10 years, it would be refreshing to have this old school DC sound pumped back into the veins of the industry. Sounds great, hope to hear more
As Blood Runs Black altogether was an underrated group from the start. Leche blew the scene up for so many mid 20s people like myself. their sound was unique and technique chug chug. sweet bliss. please bring us more.
As a long time as blood runs black fan, I approve. It sounds a lot like what I grew up listening to in 2010-2013 and I love it. Imagining the vocalist on top of this instrumental is extremely exciting

Yes!!!! Major throwback to May 2007 when I went to my 1st small venue show at 22 years old to see a few bands like As Blood Runs Black, The Faceless, Beneath The Massacre, and Animosity have an absolute party.
Ooo yeah, i like that. There's something with these riffs after all these years that make ABRB standing out from other deathcore bands (not simply the fact that they play drop c/b and not 7 string drop a). It's like the melodic core-playing style without repeating other bands or ideas which have been copied thousand time, i'm pretty stoked for the new songs.

One of the best shows I’ve ever been to was at Culture Room circa 2007 or 8 maybe, got a concussion in the wall of death during in dying days and it’s still one of my fondest memories at a show to date. I fuckin love you guys 🖤🤘🏻
On point - hope the new songs have non-canned drums though! Leche's raw audio (with whatever minor post processing they did on the other albums) is fantastic!
I love that you guys are talking about coming back! My upbringing on drums and guitar was so much of you guys. You asked for comments and feedback so: the last breakdown to the end is the most exciting/fresh part. You guys basically popularized the melodeath “at the gates” riffing, so y’all should definitely be thinking outside the box with the key signatures, chord progressions, etc. Instinct to me sounds the most unique of the albums because of the key signatures and chord progressions. you guys will definitely be looked at as the band that pushes the genre forward or stays stagnate (Whether you want that or not). Basically, if you guys can do “Allegiance” MODERNIZED, y’all will be golden!
A good example would be to check out The Devil wears Prada’s zombie ep then check out their recent Z2 ep that just came out. Zombie ep sounds like it’s of the time and Z2 sounds like the same idea but modernized
if it werent for my friend brad, back when i was like 9 or 10 years old, showing me 'My Fears Have Become Phobias' ; I probably would of never gotten into death metal, deathcore or really any other music without clean singing. shit changed my life and leche was one of the ppl who inspired me to become a drummer, so thank you guys and I hope you guys totally evolve and grow as a band would love to hear all the different sounds this band is capable after all these years. more than stoked you guys are back actively working on new stuff. cheers and heres to the future!
The boys are BACK IN TOWN!!! The only thing I could say is maybe change up that chug pattern, maybe a little bouncer to match the alt pick stuff. Other than that, you could slap vocals on that today and I'd be streaming it on repeat!
