I had lost hope that good people were around us. Being a political science student I have studied a lot about Martin Luther King but did not pay attention to the people working with him until I heard the critical health condition of Congressman John Lewis and him being praised of his achievements in the American news. Although I had seen him before in the news during his office days. I did admire him but did not know a lot about him until his death. Now I have all the respect for him and he is one of my inspiration. It always brings tears to my eyes whenever I think of the respect and honour given to him by the entire humanity. I feel he is one of the best people surely loved by God. It is such a coincidence that the words said to him by Martin Luther King are the exact last words said by Maula Hussain, Prophet Mohammed's grandson before his martyrdom on the fields of Karbala. I am quoting him in Urdu, " Zillat ki Zindagi sey Izzat ki maut bentar hai. " There is another coincidence that Congressman Lewis died on the 8th of Zillhaj, the Islamic Month. This is the date when the first companion of Hussain, Muslim Bin Aqeel, was martyred in the city of Kufa in lraq who was sent as his ambassador there. John Lewis I shall always remember you and hold you in high respects as a politician and always remember that that sincere and honour worthy politicians do exist even in the twentieth and twenty first centuries
